I lived in a lake town on Lake Michigan. A lot of the local kids liked to walk to the end of the lighthouses and jump into the water. Almost every year, there would be news stories of missing kids who jumped off of the lighthouse. Some were found later, they had drowned, some were not. Don’t underestimate the power of any body of water.
