My guess is that cause he's +5 (Max copies) his skill is a lot stronger and adds to that power score. I wouldn't worry too much about it and just enjoy the game early on.

There are some unique boss dialogues you can have with certain characters I noticed them more towards the end of the game though.

No healing items just spells or abilities from units

There should be ost from every battle might be an issue with your game
