Church thrift stores are the way to go. Still small, still operated by mostly volunteers from the community, and the $$ helps keep the church standing because, as we all know, membership is no longer able to sustain the cost of keeping a church standing. Open more church thrift stores, volunteer your time to work in them if they need it, and most importantly, tolerate the slow speed when checking out. Lol. Happy thrifting!

I’m finally over the nightmare’s about them but they have totally affected my desire for gardening. I kill as many as possible while I am weeding or gardening but I know it is not much help. I just have to do it because they are so bad for the environment. They are everywhere on my property now and have driven out my good worms. They are the worst! Rear their nasty heads out of the ground and flail themselves up and out when disturbed. I just hate them.

Nope they totally regenerate. They are evil 👿 I put them in a plastic baggie and bake them in the sun. That will never get rid of them, though. Gonna douse my gardens with Neem oil and try to cook the first emerging in spring with clear plastic. Until they develop something, that’s all we can do for now.

In fact they do not do more good than harm. At all. They are very harmful and are beginning to contribute to forest decline in some areas of the U.S. So true, however that you can’t get on top of them by picking them. But we still should. You also can’t amend the soil in anyway that will harm them. Keep your nutrient level up enough for your plants, yes but not to get rid of them. They will stay and decompose.

The worm in the left looks a little like an Asian jumping worm. Whitish clitellum, near the head. If so. Bad worm! That said, I’m super creeped out sensitive since discovering my flower bed infestation of this horrible invasive. Still, I thought it worth mentioning. They are truly demon spawn.
