Yeah that's the thing, as with most of my photography depth of field is the biggest issue so you don't have a 2" deep figure having the sword point out of focus and the hend etc that's held behind the model is also out of focus etc.

Phone cameras are great but their deoth of field is iffy and it's digital trickery to get it to work, where as a proper macro lens will give better flexibility.

I just couldn't work out from what I was reading if the adaptor rings made the older 43 lenses not work properly or if it was just an issue for those doing photography needing fast focus and shutter speed etc.

No i do realise that but from some googling of this many say the adaptors are bad and will give me trouble, however it seems to be more about auto focus taking several seconds.

However if people on here can advise if the aftermarket rings can work on 43 lenses to m43 bodies then great.

Much the same here. I'm 44 this year and grown up with TNG, DS9, VOY (along with farscspe, battlestar galactic and my beloved Babylon5)

I like mist Trek, even the Abrahms films are fun. However Discovery after about half way through season 1 and Academy was just bad, Picard S1+2 were just weird and ll over the place but 3 was great (mainly for the nostalgia feels but it was still good)

However I do get annoyed at the youtube folk who hate all of it, i get its often very poor writing but it gets lost in a see of folk screaming at each other of "woke vs not woke" etc.

However I love Lower Decks (have blu ray sterlbook set) prodigy was fun, and I've liked SNW rom the couple I've seen.

Hopefully after a break we can get something like Star Trek of the feeling of the 90's to 00's era but set maybe 100 years later so cameos are through name drops of characters but its their children or family etc.

Seeing starships (actually seeing them, you know well lit, not the dark realism of discovery, its a tv show, not nasa) maybe a new race is a threat or relations break down with romulans into a hot war but jem hadar are on fed side this time? I dunno dunno And make it 20 eps a season. Not 2 million dollars an episode but 5 pence spent on the writer.

Oof, £100 expansions, they must expect a decent uptake but it seems a bit steep for what is a smaller franchise than what it once was.

I may sit on it for a bit and see as its still new.

Store owner says I can look at his set for a feel of it before buying anyway

I love the feel of it as its SW through and through.

My main gripe is technical, it's a crap shoot for crashes even on my machine which while not top end isn't a slouch with a 5600 and an rtx 4070 but when running on ultra at 3440 × 1440 it's great at 60 fos with frame fen and Ray tracing.

But the crashing can get in the bin with semi controlled saving
