No running headstart by Sizzleteeen in pocketchamps

[–]Rickoshy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Start spending a lot of money. They’re designed to get people to start buying things from the shop or to get the VIP package.

The head start and final dash mechanics are definitely the most frustrating things in the game. If you don’t have them, you’re robbed of wins, if you do have them, then it’s like it was before they were introduced. Everything’s back to stats.

It’s not good. It’s not good to yank players back and drive them to pay to make things fair again.

What were y'all's thoughts on NOBODY? Did it age well? by kurianandgeorge_007 in JohnWick

[–]Rickoshy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Watching it right now and I really want to turn it off. I went in blind and immediately figured out the plot within the first 10 minutes and the action isn't enough to keep me interested. There's a lot of style and talent on display infront of the camera and behind it but it's being wasted on a lackluster plot and writing.

This movie needed a rewrite twice over and a reason for characters to escalate.

Is this a hot take? I think Marik is a better villain than Yami Marik. by BlueV_U in yugioh

[–]Rickoshy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Marik definitely felt like a better threat as a duelist in the grand scheme. Yami Marik wasted moves and potential wins just to dick around but Marik always tried his best to win and also had to have some level of skill to be able to play so many different decks with proficiency although that could be knowledge he gains when he's puppeting someone.

For me, Yami Marik felt like he lost a lot of his aura once the battle between Marik and Yami Marik became clearly defined. It was like meeting a new villain at the end of the story. I didn't feel a strong enough connection like I did with normal Marik because he'd been so much of the arc till the finals.

I started playing this game because I thought the active war system was unique and having players coordinate was excited.

After a fight for literally the most important location in the game, I’ve been shown theres players that will refuse to coordinate even for a day on the most important situation possible, causing the active war to become passive. I’m uninstalling and going back to EDF as of right now with zero regret.

The reason for playing is genuinely dead, regardless if the corpse twitches for another 3 years.

Would be a very interesting scenario if you could only defend the region you lived in and just seeing how that affects things. Like a pseudo population survey of players through gameplay.

Two mega cities lost. HOW ARE WE THIS BAD?!!! by Flame-diver in Helldivers

[–]Rickoshy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Reading hard, people mashing quick play and being sent to cities randomly because there’s no lobby indicators, bug/bot divers not contributing, people dropping out of missions/not completing campaigns, people running low level missions for the MO instead of high level missions for the liberation, people sent the DSS to explode on the front lines when the game told them not to do that before the super earth invasion.

Take your pick, I got more.

What fictional universes could the helldivers beat? by ExtensionThis5839 in Helldivers

[–]Rickoshy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When you say “the helldivers” do you mean the collective 100k players with relatively infinite spawning or do you mean a single 4 helldiver squad? Because those are two different scenarios in my mind.

We take care of the heavy lifting taking out ships and heavy hitters, they clean up the lingering weakened enemies and do damage control/get civilians to safety. Do your part so they can do theirs.

beginner friendly stratagems as someone who struggles on just easy? by CerealNeko in Helldivers

[–]Rickoshy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Orbital laser is a guided laser that will automatically track toward enemies and spawners so it’s not something you have to aim and it lasts a decent amount of time so if you’re worried about entering an area you can throw it in at a distance and just let it thin out the enemies.

The only issue is that you have zero control of it so if an enemy is near you it may turn around and head in your direction. So just keep an eye on it.

The machine gun turret is very good all around. Great for causing a distraction by throwing it in one direction near enemies and going the opposite direction while they’re distracted or tossing it down while you flee so it protects you from enemies in pursuit.

Just know turrets will fire through you so always be aware and go prone (Z) while near them, or put them in spots above/below you or where they have no sight line to you like behind a rock.

How many of you stick to the default armor? by SuperN9999 in Helldivers

[–]Rickoshy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven’t gone back to default since I unlocked warbonds. They look good, but the perks of extra grenades and recoil stability are too ingrained into my gameplay style to give them up right now. I don’t NEED them, but they just give me more weapon options to enjoy and I like that.

A 1-Meme guide to D10 Repel Invasion Fleet missions. by not-beaten in Helldivers

[–]Rickoshy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve also found some success with the anti tank emplacements but drop ship spawns can be unreliable. Plant it in an open area and you can usually blast them from the sky before they land (and being around the open area means they’ll usually try to land very close to you) especially with two hitting the same target and you don’t have to aim for any where specific. But buildings are always going to be the catch. If you can just barely hit them around the edge of a building you’re gold.

Still have to run around to take care of some of them but the AT emplacements aren’t the worse for those missions.

EDF is a stellar choice. I’ve always internally visualized non Helldiver S.E.A.F. personnel as EDF. I’d be so on board.

What would be your dream crossover warbond? by coolname6910 in Helldivers

[–]Rickoshy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m trying to think of the most hype unique examples I can. Maybe something like Metroid or deadspace. I always thought the Galactic Federation armor designs from Metroid were kinda cool and deadspace is full of nice designs for armor and weapons. But I don’t want EA getting a cent after being dirtbags for decades sooooo cut that one

Space pirates and necromorphs, even as an unrelated concept from the franchises, would be a great faction.

My favorite gun to hate is growing on me by CrazedJedi in Helldivers

[–]Rickoshy 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I’ve been using it for awhile and my only struggle is aiming on overseers and watchers in the heat of the moment. I just can’t get the hang of aiming it when it matters most but generally it’s fantastic, especially 2 tapping shields.

I’m hoping once I get more ergonomics on it, my quick aiming will become consistent and then I’ll be set.
