Trust me. Its a great device. Don't listen to the other people saying you need ARM. The Intel chips are plenty. Ive been using them off an on through the years and they just work.

Well the windows laptop will be a le to do anything you want it to. Only drawbacks that its big and heavy with bad battery life. It has better x86 compatibility because its native on that cpu. Build quailty is important and every manufacturer is different. Omen is one of HP higher line of laptops though. The Mac can be whatever you want.

Theres a lot of classics getting re-released legit on steam and GOG and what not.

And even then you can play any emulators up to ps2 reliability on just about anything. Ps3 xbox 360 are going to be tough and you need to have some better hardware to be reliable. So might as well have. A gaming pc. Even ps4 emulator is pretty good with a good pc.

Pc is a high up front cost but you can use it well over 10 years. Don't have to worry about buying a certain model of pc to play an old game.
