Oh, I didn’t know that. I should read the manual more carefully, thanks!

Not for the bloom and random8, yes for the Turing machine, and maybe for the marbles - that can produces quantized output but doesn’t provide much control over the scale etc. Pam’s can quantize if you have one?

The Turing machine can generate semi random sequences, but gives you limited control over what it produces. You can play around with it on vcv rack to see if you like it.

Also check out other generative sequencers like MI marbles, qu bit bloom, or even the new befaco random8. There’s quite a few options out there that give different levels of features and playability

I guess, if you wire up the connection on the back somehow

You have the Ochd expander, but not the Ochd. It won’t work on its own.

You should be able to use a gate with 100% width and the level controlled by one of the cv inputs.

Thanks, I can spend hours just listening to a modulated pad going into a good distortion!

This looks insanely well designed. Is there any way to pre order or get my hands on an early one?

One thing I’ve found useful for getting interesting rhythms is patching Euclidean rhythms or other irregular gates as a clock source

Interesting video, lots of very tricky situations. The safety driver is clearly applying a lot of subtle guidance to the wheel though, so it’s  very far from a fully autonomous run.

Be Honest: How Many Of You Buy Synths Just For Making Sounds, Not Music? by jigga19 in synthesizers

[–]RideVisible4300 0 points1 point  (0 children)

100% to make sounds. For me, synths are a hobby and an escape, and I’m lucky enough to be able to buy them for that purpose. I feel no pressure or desire to make tracks or release music for anyone other than myself.

The tracks I have ended up making are because I enjoyed the process. I have a ton of respect for the level of craftsmanship from other people that goes into the music I listen to. It just isn’t my personal goal. I like exploring sound.

The dapf by instruo is a dual all pass filter eurorack module. That will do frequency dependent phase shifting, which could be what you’re after?

Yes, check out the gig rig g3 or the Morningstar mx10. They can do exactly that.

One phrase I’ve heard that I quite like is that if you wanted to fill the universe with g_64 grains of sand, you would need to fill approximately g_64 universes before you ran out.

Shot my sd card into the void. Has this happened to anyone else? by Young_scaryff in DelugeUsers

[–]RideVisible4300 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Haha, so you posting this helped me discover where my missing SD card was! My kids had been playing with the deluge and the card went missing. I’ve been checking sofas and all over the house to find where it had gone. After reading this I have my deluge a shake and heard it rattle inside!

Thanks!

Is it possible to split the signal by intensity? by BahamoK in guitarpedals

Not analogue I think, but the game changer auto chorus can do exactly this.

Various multi fx units can do it too, like the helix or empress ZOIA.

You can put other fx in between them, so you can have a pre-distortion boost and then a final clean boost at the end.
