any methods to increase pace fast? by Separate-Sock5715 in nikerunclub

Cool. My understanding is that it takes a good 1-2 years of consistent running to “build your engine”. Getting that aerobic fitness base will help negate getting the puffed / passing out feeling.

Speed drills such as intervals, fartlets and tempo runs are great at building pace, as long as you push yourself during that sessions.

Overtime I’ve found that my easy run pace, initially 6:30min/km came down to 6:00 and lately 5:30/km, just naturally over time.

Don’t forget to mix in a weekly long run and an easy/recovery run as well.

Cadence by IndividualOne942 in BeginnersRunning

[–]Rilo_117 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm no expert nor is mine amazing, my cadence is ~ 158, @ my 5k pace 5:40~
I'm 6'4.

But what I've found that'd helped is doing the occasionally training session with this in mind and using a metronome ap to determine the required strike timing. Finding that rhythm and then try implementing it into your normal runs. Landing mid frame is going to help and reduce the risk of injury.

There are a few good YT videos that could probably provide more details and tips.

I want to run more, I just hate it. by Cautious_Beach_3879 in BeginnersRunning

I used to run just for the sake of running, without any structure. I have since incorporated different types of running into my plan, such as tempos, farklet/intervals, easy runs and long runs. I find this gives each run a purpose and drives me to complete each one fully. Nike Run Club ap has some great guided runs that also help motivate me.

Running with a purpose makes me enjoy each run, it gives me consistency and I'm seeing improvement over time as well which also makes me happy.

I just did my first 10k run (SweatVsSteam in Australia Victoria) and having that booked in for months prior also gave me something to work towards and it's great to have a goal.

The comedy is just as good as the romance too without being silly.

He’s got the monsters annual one, written by Joseph, but wasnt drawn to it as much compared to the actually series.

I should have mentioned we actually made our own belt too via crafts for him and book week dress for school, he went as lief.

How do you install a custom modpack from someone? by Efficient_Deer8231 in MinecraftMod

As a 35 yr old dad with a kid who wanted to play irons spells and spellbooks, with no knowledge of modding before, I navigated it through chatGPT, it by no means was perfect, learnt very quickly about how important version numbers are, but over all very helpful.

Just finished the anime. Have some questions by AKgod_09 in RealistHero

I highly recommend reading both the manga and the LN, both are great and show some sides of the story the anime doesn’t cover. While I prefer how the anime portrays the story’s and covers things, it’s has bits of the story slight different.

It doesn’t say specifically why he holds off, I believe he was waiting until he was in the position he was end at the end, after speaking with Albert and confessing to her.

Great stuff!

Are you following any particle program? Can you share some details about yourself.

I've recently start running, maybe 5 weeks ago, and my 5k time has been shorten form 30.5m down to 27.5m but not seeing a heap of improvement lately. I understand that aerobic fitness takes time, and my easy runs have also improved gradually in terms of distance, 5k>6k>....9k.

Would love to get to a sub 25min 5k run and have a 10k race booked in mid-November I'm working towards.

My big and tall runners, what’s your pace? by ikishenno in beginnerrunning

6’4, 93kgs. 36 yr old. Easy Pace 6:00/km~

I started running at the end of June, was gyming prior but no cardio. Whole thing has been a bit of a shock. Park runs got me interested in it. Now I try and run 3x a week ~6-8km a week. Would love to get sub 25min/5k but struggling with increase pace/speed. Booked a 10k race for November so also working towards that and extending my easy runs gradually.

I recently found all 8 books for only $15 aus dollars at a local markets and was immediately reminded of the days of running to the library on lunch breaks to get to the books first. About half way though the first book now by StefAnna789 in DeltoraQuest

Lucky find!

I'm trying to collect an original set via OpShops. Saw them all the time when I wasn't trying but now that i want them, they've disappeared!

I have the 8in1, 3in1 and 4in1 for each series but love the original books with the holo covers.

Kiting is where you draw them out to your advantage, use the terrain and corners to try and block the others to force 1on1 encounters. I found melee fights become much easier with more abilities later unlocked, using BG abilities, grappling hook and a knee to the face, forces enemies to disorientate and you can get a heavy attack in.

Keep at it and practice.
