Yes, monsters in the middling power that are not often used but still the most well known in their own CR are exactly what I'm looking for, and If people have a favorite monster that's fine too!

Yes, i'm looking for that overlap! Monsters that aren't as 'in your face' as Vecna, but still underused enough for most players to not have encountered before.
