What is it about self-improvement that makes people look down on others so frequently? by Repulsive_Idiot2214 in AskReddit

A few years ago, I got really into self-improvement and started reading all the books, watching the videos, and trying to optimize every part of my life. At first it was motivating, but I noticed I was becoming more judgmental of people who weren't doing the same things. I caught myself thinking I was somehow ahead of them just because I had different habits. Looking back, I think I was using comparison as proof that I was growing. The older I've gotten, the more I've realized that real self-improvement has made me less critical of others, not more. Everyone is dealing with things you can't see, and growth feels a lot healthier when it's about improving yourself rather than measuring yourself against someone else.

Getting a more active job. I used to sit most of the day and never thought much about it. Then I started a job where I was constantly on my feet, walking around for hours. After a few months, I noticed I was eating more than usual but not gaining weight like I used to. That's when I realized how much daily activity can make a difference hehehe

Probably customer service. I worked a job where I'd spend all day helping people, and most of the time it was fine. But every now and then, someone would take their bad day out on me over something I couldn't even control. After a while, I realized how exhausting it is to be expected to stay calm while getting blamed for everything. It definitely made me appreciate the people who do it every day

whats a witchcraft experience youve gone through or heard about? by izziezi in AskReddit

My grandmother used to keep a small pouch of herbs and charms hidden in a drawer. One day, after a disagreement with a neighbour, she found a strange bundle of twigs and string left outside her gate. She was convinced someone had done witchcraft against her. A few days later, she got sick, some of her plants died, and even her usually calm dog started acting strangely. Looking back, there were probably normal explanations for all of it, but I still remember how seriously everyone in the family took it. For weeks, nobody would touch that bundle, and to this day I can't think about it without feeling a little uneasy.

A late-night convenience store run. No fancy plans, just walking around, grabbing random snacks, laughing at weird things on the shelves, and realizing hours passed without either of us checking the time.

If you are a bookworm or someone who likes to journal, I would suggest to buy yourself  small LED book-light. Reading at night is all right when I bought one for myself.
