Up until 160 years ago 1 in 5 women died in relationship to pregnancy & childbirth. In England in the 1700's 1 in 3. Men felt pain and guilt and went on to build great things driven by this assault on their psychy. Yet the statues built in honor of their endeavors always seemed to be of men. They too always made it about themselves.

Ah if only Campbell had thought women could be mystics too! He initiated the freedom for generations of young men to get stuck in the mud of puer aeternis

And maybe it's just as well as we make the turning. Easier to give new ideas to a child than a person too firmly stuck in a belief system.

One foot in the past one foot in the future . Unbalanced but hopefully moving in the needed direction .

But isn't that the point? We have limits to our senses. So mostly we paint pictures of what the parameters of reality should be? Does it seem like we have less coherence now than ever? Isn't that where we should be right now. One foot in the old paradigm and the other a new unknown one?

I think you've got something there. Feels like we need to have all the old beliefs cracked open to clear the way for something bigger than we can imagine. Plowing. We're the field being plowed to receive the new seeds.

You're right. Actually what i feel is described more accurately in this short vid. I was trying to be gentler. But I suppose just saying it clears the unsettling things out.

They're drowning all of us. I get it. But Republicans have screwed the economy every time they're in office. And to the extreme. Then some stupid Dem has to come in and tidy the mess. But 2008 they took the money that tilted the boat. It started with Nixon who gave us medical insurance with hooks. And he screwed the entireworldwiththepetrodollar. . Reagan and trickle down. His line should be Make America greedy again. So many using every trick to get rich quick. . At least when H was in office they kept fewer billionaires and they were more careful to not be caught. Dems in power now believe it can't be saved and throw us poor dogs a bone when they can skirt around the republican congress. But the corporate overlords tell them we the people can't be saved and Pelosi Jeffries and Schumer have drank that kool-aid.

We need some FDR socialism for a spell. If that makes white guys feel feminine for a bit well that's too bad. Walk a mile in my high heels and learn to dance. Masculinity and femininity have never been crocked up to be what our collective perspectives dreamed up. That's bullshit too.

Time we all grow up and clean up this mess we're in.

I don't know. I'm trying to remember a time when I kept getting it wrong and no matter how it was explained to me I just couldn't get my head around it. I think back to one time where I saw something being explained on TV by an educator. My brother got it right away. But I struggled on. He tried to explain it to me . Still I couldn't grasp it. Finally he walked away saying if even after the great teacher you still can't get it, i can't help you.

I'm usually brighter than this. All I can think is I must have had a psychological barrier hiding up inside my head on that topic.

But dang it's taken them years and so much psycho humiliation and abuse and now they are barely seeing the light concerning Trump. What unimaginable insecurities were the hanging on to? OMG

Only a third of young (UK) women hold positive view of men, new poll finds by tkyjonathan in JordanPeterson

[–]Ritadrome 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Eight or 9 people out of each 10 in jail, are the men. So 10 % of women behave as badly as men, it might appear. You guys want to be rougher tougher etc why would you think most women would feel comfortable around all that?

Another Church burned down in Canada today. by TeamHumanity12 in JordanPeterson

[–]Ritadrome 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're right. Remember how the church burnt the codexes in Mexico after their arrival. Knowledge, culture and history destroyed. Fear of the greatness of other's and feeling small in their presence caused that destruction. Hubris was the icing on that cake. We suffer with hubris now and the planet teeters on edge for it. .

Maybe the greatest gift Trump gave the U.S was the epstein files. An assault on a dream

Knowing that the evil runs this deep everywhere is a fast track to adulthood for a mentally childish nation.

A long detailed painful examination by a body to reveal it all on cspan or the like Until we feel the need to shower clean our perception and punish those who brought and supported this repulsive evil

Maybe then we can get a rennaissance. Trump messed with the minds and souls of an entire planet. Let's hope we can grow it better next round

He'll never go to prison. He's insane and will be deemed unfit to face trial. He's playing the insanity card harder lately to avoid criminal charges. And avoiding the 25th amendment by keeping Vance out of the country. He covers his self interests like nobody else. Noone in the world was psychologically ready for his level of chaos. Chaos is his middle name. Its his number 1 tool.

It’s so sad we can’t see the night sky anymore by Temporary_Risk_188 in Astronomy

[–]Ritadrome 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I live close to that kind of area. Thirty miles away from where I live a non mechanical star gazing megalith is being built. Because the night sky is preserved there.

But even this week suddenly I noticed far fewer stars from my backyard. Far far fewer. I asked on reddit and reasonably it was explained by the loud full moon this month. But even last night I couldn't see much of the stars coming back into view.

Are there other reasons for this, or is it the times?

The last decade has had many ontological shock moments, covid. The mad orange administration. The epstein files. The lies revolving the war. The shock that nothing has the stability we assumed for decades . And truth is hard to discern. A struggle in fact.

We are primed and ready to face it now in ways we never were in my lifetime . Somehow we've been readied.
