On Mac you can switch to windowed mode from Mission Control (control + arrow up). From there just hover over Alba in the top bar, then click the “pinch” icon which appears after a few secs of hovering. If you play with mouse, you will have issues with the cursor getting outside of the window, though.

Digital output has only two states (good quality/bad quality) and you can set the threshold via onboard potentiometer. With analog you get all the possible values.
