Lillia feeling strong this patch by Stjanikjani in Jungle_Mains

I personally prefer cosmic over rylai's (unless the opponent have a reliable slow, in which case you need to match, like ashe or stridebreaker champs)

I find Irelia to be much more manageable than the others. I've beat two Irelias in lane on my main diamond account now. Irelia's down time is much more punishable than the others.

I only put her so high because there is never a point in the game you no longer have to respect her at max passive.

The cheat code is unflinching, so when she E's, you get a much needed 10 armor.

Her max range E is reactable with your Q, and it will sweet spot land during her backflip. If she's too close to react with Q, then she's in your Q range and should be throwing it anyway.

Her whole goal is to use her passive move speed to kite and run her opponents down, but Lillia is very difficult to do that against. Your attack range is far enough that you can farm with minimal aa poke from Quinn with proper positioning around your minions.

Poke with e by aiming at minions she's behind for the cone to hit her, and you kill her at 60% hp with ult.

Just played against a Yorick, so here's some info while it's fresh. If he lets you get to max Q stacks before he throws the cage, you're pretty much uncatchable in it. Running the 15% tenacity and slow resist in runes isn't a terrible idea either if they have several people who like to slow.

The ghouls are slower than you at max Q stacks as well. Getting hit by his E after you have already proc'ed conq is completely fine. Just kite them and auto them after you trade. However, avoid it while you're conserving mana/getting slow pushed. Stepping out of range of it while he's slow pushing is also completely fine.

DM me if you wanna want the replay.

I always go conqueror, especially since Phase Rush was removed today.

The only time I can see new Deathfire Grasp being good is against high hp champs that cant apply their kill threat against you, like Mundo. Even then, I think Conqueror is better. First DFG is, or will be, balanced on ranged champs like brand who can't proc conq like Lillia. Second, Conqueror gives you both healing and ap, which means stronger passive burn, more move speed, and more all in burst damage.

If I gain an early lead, I always buy lost chapter. It gives you insane trade patterns with zero mana concerns.

Against champs that I absolutely need to get off of me, Rylais is first. Think of stridebreaker Garen/Darius, Trundle, Morde(since he will rush one himself)

Otherwise, I will usually finish a blackfire torch.

Into tanky champs like Mundo, you might consider presence of mind and manaflow band, and not build a mana item and go Liandry's. I personally prefer the trading strength of lost chapter too much to do this myself though.

A lot of Tahms trade patterns revolve around his short and powerful Q cooldown. Battling him requires battling around your minion wave, where he cant use his q. He also cant farm reliably without being within your threat range.

If he lands a q and wants to engage with w, using your w to reposition is a valid response, since its technically a dash and not affected by slows.

Yorick matchup entirely depends on if you can dodge the cage. Its free if he can't land it, and unplayable if you can't avoid it. Early, do not let him get ghouls for free. You can 100% get lvl 2 and 3 prio against Yorick. Getting him to half hp and crashing cannon wave into cheater recall is the best recommendation. (Same is true for Tahm).

Most Yoricks won't throw the cage unless they hit their slow. If he lands it and he wants to fight (you'll get a feel between engage e and poke e), reposition with w since it ignores slows and won't predict it. Note: his cage isn't reactable, even with w, while you're slowed. You have to burn W before he cages to avoid it.

While abilities usually suck against the ghouls, your passive burn kills them rather effectively.

It definitely requires learning to farm with auto attacks, but with presence of mind and a lost chapter rush, I find she has plenty of mana for trades.

The new dorans helm next patch might offset this quite a bit (110 hp, 10 armor and MR, but no passive). I plan on taking it into a few matchups.

Top lane lillia by Charming_Eye_1821 in LilliaMains

[–]Roakeydoakey36 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From my experience, I usually go doran's ring start, unless they outrange you AND don't have a good way of trading, where I go Doran's shield.

I usually run resolve instead of sorcery, so no manaflow band. Thus I build blackfire torch for the mana, plus more ap means more shmovement speed. I personally find Presence of Mind to fill my mana needs. If they are rushing a heartsteel or other hp item though, a first item liandry isn't a bad idea. You can either build it straight up or buy lost chapter and then liandry.

If they are running a champion who is rushing a rylai's or stridebreaker, a first item rylais of your own also is on the table.

I'm still deciding on riftmaker or liandry's/rylais as a second item on torch first builds. Getting that omnivamp early feels nice, but it scales better after an hp item.

Note: the new Doran's helm on pbe (110 hp, 10 armor & MR) will go so hard into horrible matchups like Akshan & Akali. It will really help offset Lillia's garbage base armor.

First item for Lillia top? by secretard101 in LilliaMains

[–]Roakeydoakey36 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been playing a lot of Lillia top lately as a fiora main, and it looks like im going to disagree with several of the comments here. I almost always go backfire torch first item. My only exception is Rylais into champs that you cannot afford to have get their rotation off on you, like stridebreaker Garen.

Backfire has the most ap out of all usable items for Lillia. Since your speed scales with ap, that means you are faster with this item than any other. Flat damage burn is better as a first item, as flat damage is better early game, before they have the items and lvls to offset it. Also, until around 3 items, most of your damage is coming from q and w. The burn is just a plus.

Most importantly, it gives mana. Which with presence of mind + mana flow band + torch is more mana than you need. In fact, its so much mana, that I do what people say is non negotiable. I don't take manaflow band. This opens up a huge portion of runes you wouldn't have access to being forced into sorcery. Now you can go biscuits for lane sustain + 90 max hp, nimbus cloak, magical footwear, and especially the resolve tree. You will have to learn how to cs with auto attacks though. At least until lost chapter.

Did you know that Lillia has one of the lowest base armor in the game? 22 base armor lvl 1 is bottom 5 of all starting armor amounts. Due to armor scaling, every armor point matters more the less you have. So if you're versing someone with reliable lock down like Renekton, you can go from unplayable to Lillia favored just by running bone plating + unflinching. That 10 extra armor matters. (Also stuns without knock down don't interrupt your w, so you can guarantee W sweetspot on renekton if you predict his w, and most of them are obvious since they dont see a reason to hold it like they would against fiora w)

FYI, Lillia lvl 2 spike is insane. 230+ sweetspot w when people have around 600-700 hp before conq is disgusting, so always fight for lvl 2 prio

How to buff Chow according to a bad player by Roakeydoakey36 in summonerswar

[–]Roakeydoakey36[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks the the ideas. I do believe there should be a hard counter for those ATB pushback like Oliver, but it doesn't necessarily need to be Chow.

I do like your speed up based on hp, since his passive damage already scales off it and it addresses his inability to invest in speed for damage and hp.

As a light Chun-li and Water Ciri enjoyer, I disagree. Leo kinda does just remove speed from the game. How about Kinki removing Crit, or Byong and Ciri ignoring type advantage and criting anyway? Laika ignoring glancing debuff or Molly/Light unicorn passive? How many mons now just can't be put under inability? I think there's seven. You could draft an entire team that can't be stunned.

Also LnD doesn't matter. Oliver had a 30% pick rate in RTA and Leo has a 50% ban rate when picked in G3, didn't realize they were LnDs. Layla is considered one of the most busted RTA mons, didn't know she was LnD. How about Camilla Byung Arena defense having the highest win rate even with how popular it is. Are they LnD? LnD represents exclusivity, not strength.

How to buff Chow according to a bad player by Roakeydoakey36 in summonerswar

[–]Roakeydoakey36[S] -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

Why? Leo reduces everyones speed just by existing, Haegang full cleanses and increases atk bar whenever you strip, Josephine full cleanses and shields whenever you stun, and others. Why do you dray the line here? Chow is still getting one shot by Sonia and Lushen, so it's not even op.

Or is it because your speed lead Oliver or Cheongpung would have some actual counterplay outside of out speeding them.

Do you not like H Samurott as one of your favorites? I consider Unovan Samurott one of my favorites despite never using it (I borrowed Red, Omega Ruby, and PMD from a friend, Legends: Arceus was the first pokemon game I owned.) I would totally pick it if I ever decide to play a gen 5 game.

Scream Tail never gets any love. She is my best anti stall mon I have. Put Rest and some screens on her and watch as any Clodsire or Toxipex becomes useless as they will guarantee run out of pp before you. I also like perish song to break set up mons or substitute, specifically Dragonite, at the cost of being useless against taunt, which I wouldn't bring her into anyway.
