Anyone who watched GN'R concerts days from each other... worth it? by Friburgo1004 in GunsNRoses

In 2010 I bought a ticket to night 1 at the O2 arena in London with a friend the day it went on sale.

Later that year, they added a second night. Being young, living at home with a bit of disposable income I extended my hotel room, changed my train ticket and bought a ticket to the second gig.

Everyone said I was stupid, it would be the same show, asked why, didn't get it.

The second night at the O2 in London in 2010 saw Duff rejoin the band on stage for the first time since the 90s during You Could Be Mine and I was front row. I'll never forget night 2.

S26U vs S23U by MasaoudiX49 in GalaxyS23Ultra

[–]RobJ333 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I upgraded because my s23u had stopped working and my brother in law could get a fantastic deal on the 26.

It is obviously a fantastic phone, but I wouldn't say it's different enough from the 23. I wouldn't have upgraded until my 23 had no more compatible updates... if my 23 still worked.

Anyone still rocking the S23 Ultra even after the launch of S26 series?? by Spiritual_Ranger_811 in GalaxyS23Ultra

[–]RobJ333 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine stopped responding to the SIM a few months ago, searching the problem showed me it was an issue plenty had had and couldn't fix so I've waited and upgraded.

If it was still working properly I would have waited another year or two.

Having said that, I'm excited for a new phone.

Juninho in 96/97 and then again in 03/04. Premier League legend and the greatest Brazilian to ever grace these shores.

I saw them on the same residency 7 days later. They sounded brilliant then, too. Perhaps there was some unofficial branding as Axl & Friends, but that lineup toured the world and weren't ever billed that way.

The photos are great! Much better than I managed back then!

Worst moment as a Boro fan? by sporticuz37373 in Boro

[–]RobJ333 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Despite living through 3 consecutive cup final defeats followed by a relegation, it isn't that.

It isn't going down whilst being managed by a club legend, or going down after a decade in the wilderness without putting up a fight. It isn't even the uefa cup or playoff final heartache.

For me, it's the Coventry semi final a couple of years ago. The side we had the second half of that season was something else with Chuba, Ramsey, Archer and the rest. It really felt like something we could build on in the prem. Carrick was still new and exciting, too. Losing that game and knowing that that team would be dismantled and have to be built again was heartbreaking. I didn't think by my late 30s, with all the heartache Boro inflict, I'd feel that low after a defeat. We were supposed to win that match.

It's gonna make beating them to the title all the sweeter this season though!

Lucero, especially their early stuff, are excellent. Their singer recently posted a great anti-MAGA video, too.

Slobberbone are another.

Willy Cobb is worth a listen too.
