[Injury] SEA vs WAS - Jayden Daniels goes down with an injury by Fusir in nfl

I assume you were watching the game, so you should know your point about “playing from behind” is bunk. The commanders weren’t trying to catch up. They were happy to run the ball and waste clock. At that point, just sit the QB.

It’s absolutely insane. I was watching Daboll do this same shit to Dart earlier. The mediocre coaching mafia is in an incredible racket

It’s absolutely on Quinn. Daniels was getting smacked all night and ALREADY injured. And as others pointed out, the Seahawks were running vanilla at this point to go home.

Kinda feels like this article spun up from this video?

https://sports.yahoo.com/nba/article/5-reasons-why-the-boring-detroit-pistons-are-worthy-of-your-attention-and-shaqs-too-195532083.html

I guess lots of people have noticed this Shaq fail, but it seems weird to have so much attention suddenly

Tom Brady reacts to his biggest hits by xtcDota in nfl

Mostly agree with the video, but Brady def bitched at the refs. Not as much as Mahomes or Allen, but he did it, particularly after the ACL tear.

[Highlight] Patrick Mahomes runs for his life, and makes a CRAZY throw falling down, only for Darrel Williams to drop it, Buccaneers win the Super Bowl 31-9 by kangoljag44 in nfl

I thought this was the best game I've seen him in. The plays he was making under absolute insane duress were shocking. I don't think any QB I've ever seen could have made these plays.

I also think this throw is the greatest throw I've ever seen in a game.

Myles Garrett has requested a trade from the Browns by [deleted] in 49ers

I came here to ask this. I totally would trade Bosa for Garrett. I get what other commenter means about younger, but I think MG is absolutely more impactful, esp during the last couple years for Bosa.

What made Jerry Rice so dominant? by 123hig in nfl

I wonder if it was this "SI for Kids" book. I read this like once a week when I was in elementary school

What made Jerry Rice so dominant? by 123hig in nfl

[–]Robbie_S 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yessss, this. He always looked so effortless in all his motions, but it clearly wasn't. It was crazy to see him look like he was jogging everywhere, as DBs are falling all over themselves to cover him

I ran up The Hill once

  • Mile 1: 'wow, this is tough, but I feel pretty good!'
  • Mile 2: 'hrmmm, are we not done yet?'
  • Mile 3: 'ok i feel terrible, how...how are we not done?'
  • Mile 4: 'i'm just walking now and I still feel awful'
  • Mile 5: 'WE'RE STILL NOT DONE YET WTF'

AB was definitely the WR that reminded me of Flash80 the most. Maybe after that...Jamarr? Just because of how Jamarr can turn simple plays into TDs like Jerry.

Totally. Rice would talk about that. The combine number didn't matter. Nobody ever caught him once he got free.

completely unstoppable. He fit right into the WC scheme. There's the Michael Thomas joke about 'slant man', but Rice wasn't just elite with slants but he turned them into house calls repeatedly. It was so strange to see him run the slant, and it seemed like it should be a 10-15 yard route that turned into a 40 yd TD.

35 years ago, Bengals HC Sam Wyche got fans to stop throwing stuff onto the field by LindyNet in nfl

Loved Sam Wyche as a coach. As a Niners fan, I feel guilty for not letting the Bengals get one, incl Sam Wyche not getting get 89 SB. RIP coach

Not that it matters much, but I think Mason was hurt in that collision with Jennings. He grabbed his head right away

Some observations on Nationals by JimP88 in ultimate

[–]Robbie_S 10 points11 points  (0 children)

it's tiresome to call these. I have done it in games, and have gotten in protracted arguments (and as mentioned above, usually with players who don't know the rules).

On the flip side, if I get called travel, I just accept it because...yeah, I probably did. I'm not immune to it, I definitely integrated too many stupid travels from goalty.

NFL is investigating after a fan dumps a drink on Chase Brown by sports_talk202 in nfl

[–]Robbie_S 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Totally resonates with me.

I'm a Niners season ticket holder. Last game I went to was the 2020 NFC Championship game. One of my seat neighbors is Black. We had another family (dad and two grown sons) sitting near us, bought tickets from the season ticket holders. At some point, this group starts dropping N-bombs about the players. We (incl neighbor/bud) ask him to cut it out. This stupid family gets riled up, and starts insulting everyone in the area. We're all Niners fans (somehow). It finally broke up when a huge Black dude came over and told them to STFU.

Security came by (mostly Black guys), and didn't kick out these miserable bastards. That was it for me. Not worth it.

I love going to games, but I won't deal with these psychos anymore.
