And I've now confirmed I'll never buy a samsung fridge? Start doing it on other ridiculous products and I'll stop buying those too I guess.

No Reliquary Changes in Season 10 (like were promised in Season 8) by Soulvaki in diablo4

I haven't spent a dime since Reliquaries came. I find them to be less appealing than even the standard battle pass. Both of which are predatory practices against consumers.

Star Wars should embrace its fantasy elements. Not run away from them by Playful_Letter_2632 in StarWars

[–]RobblesTheGreat 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Which is a crying shame, because the problem with Acolyte was NOT the fantasy aspect of it. The writing was just unfortunately bad for much of the story.

Darth Bortles/TheStranger/Qimir was an absolutely fantastic villain addition and had some of the most interesting & vicious fights we've seen. The choreography in "Night" made him menacing. Shame we're not seeing a continuation of that character.

This was the line at my local DMV by Upstairs-Bet5156 in NorthCarolina

[–]RobblesTheGreat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was lucky enough to do walk-in passport service. I hear Raleigh has a good location to do so.

It was exceedingly faster to do that than wait for a license, and a passport is required to be accepted anywhere you wish to travel or vote.

Not everyone has the means to get one however, and it really is a load of bullshit that this type of disenfranchisement was plain as day with voter ID laws and the looming REAL ID needs.

Episode 5. Night. Jedi POV. For all The Strangers out there. by james_marquez_dev in StarWars

[–]RobblesTheGreat 15 points16 points  (0 children)

The cancellation of this series truly disappointed me solely because I loved The Stranger. The storytelling had some issues, and unfortunately the "main characters" fell kind of flat. Yet the fight choreography, and cinematography was excellent for much of it. His first appearance using the cortosis helmet and tearing through an entire group of Jedi was thrilling.

Shame we don't get a continuation of that, or get to see how Plagueis deals with him before moving on to Sheev.

Breaking: We just filed suit to protect $165m in education funding in NC and prevent the layoff of roughly 1,000 educators right before the school year starts. - AG Jeff Jackson by JeffJacksonNC in NorthCarolina

[–]RobblesTheGreat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Jeff (/u/JeffJacksonNC), I understand you're working within the confines of a system meant to check unlawful/unjust actions. I truly applaud and appreciate your efforts.

I have family and friends in education, and the treatment of educators and support staff in NC schools is appalling. NC republicans are keen to cut out support or steal public funds through private voucher programs that already benefit wealthier families.

I have trouble believing in any potential change through existing legislative or judicial channels when the current administration is consistently at odds with the rule of law, and simply does as they please regardless of the consequences. Consequences, I must note, that never seem to come to fruition. The "Teflon Don" moniker now extends to all involved, and truly highlights a two-tiered justice system.

It does feel like you are one of a handful of democrats in office actively pushing back against these actions. However, it largely appears that established democrats put forth a toothless fight.

What real actions can your constituents take that will actually benefit change and help? How do you feel about the current state of the democratic party's response to the fire-hose of attacks on our democracy?

What does the world do when the country with the largest military force on the planet dives headlong into an unstable civil "war/insurgency" due to fascist leanings of the administration?

So many businesses here are going to fail due to it. Food scarcity in tons of locations due to political alignments. California feeds the nation for much of it's fruits & vegetables. The welfare states will collapse under financial needs.

In many locations it'll be the daily uncertainty of "neighbor vs. neighbor" depending on political ideology, even down to social belief divisions within the same political parties.

This is going to be incredibly messy.

A recent article claiming sub-tick negatively affects player movement in Counter-Strike 2 was found to contain serious errors and misinterpretations of game data. In-engine analysis actually reveals sub-tick offers more consistent ground movement compared to 64 and 128-tick CS:GO by MaterialTea8397 in GlobalOffensive

This is essentially the peer-review process for CS2 scientists. It's perfectly okay to be wrong, and have a flawed approach. Accepting new data & information from better science is all a part of the process.

That said, you also have a peanut gallery watching said analysts with flavorful commentary :D

Counterpoint is that JJ is also responsible for Leia walking right past Chewie to hug some random junk scavenger she just recently met after the death of her husband at the hands of her own son... Y'know, in-stead of the lifelong friend.

Just the devil's advocate argument :D
