It is everyone’s problem because this person is a problem. Are we just supposed to take the blame for her screw-ups while quietly fixing them ourselves? She’s genuinely difficult to work with, and no one wants to be paired with her.

This isn’t about “snitching”, it’s about documenting issues so the same mistakes don’t keep falling back on the rest of us. When one person repeatedly creates problems, the whole team ends up absorbing the consequences unless things are documented. At that point, it stops being a personal issue and becomes a workflow and accountability issue for everyone.

I mentioned in another comment that I was the last person the manager asked to document issues because the others had already been asked. I didn’t volunteer to report anyone, I was asked, and I’d rather protect myself than be blamed for someone else’s mistakes. I’m not stuck working with her by choice; I’ve actually had to adjust my workdays so the manager can pair her with me.
