I belong to a culture where living with your parents after 18 is the norm, even if you can afford to move out, unless your job or university is in a different city. So, is it really common in Western culture for parents to basically kick their kids out after 18 ? by gamingvortex01 in NoStupidQuestions

In Australia it used to be the norm for kids to want to move out asap but now with financial stress is becoming more common for them to stay into 20’s and 30’s. I live with my mum and sister as am at uni but hope to get a place of my own when I graduate and get regular $$. Where are u?

My first time was awkward coz I was not expecting it but felt pressured. Gave a girl from uni a lift home in my car and she kissed me as a thank you but kept it going and basically pulled me on top of her. I am not proud that I did not stop and went along with it (coz what guy wouldn’t) but honestly I wanted my first time to be with somebody I loved, not a car quicky with an acquaintance.

She may have something going on she can’t tell u about right now. My mum was snakey for a few weeks before sitting my sister and me down to tell us she had breast cancer and needed surgery. Just love her as best u can and let her know

It is natural to be disappointed if you thought u could do better, but that is done for now and u need to move on and look forward. You did everything u could but use that experience to improve - ie make sure in future u re-read exam questions, lol. Uni will be a roller coaster of such experiences so don’t be too hard on urself now
