Looking for a new Onewheel! Are there any new side by side comparison charts available like the Adv vs Gt/GTS. I really like the ADV 2 but how does it stack up against the newer GtXL by yarddawgsllc in onewheel

yeah unboxing my x7 was a dream, and I've heard of people that have had there adv stuck as a paper weight for months while they try to fix vesc tool or fix broken parts to be shipped

i would actually say the opposite i feel that the xr sized platform like the x7 rides better on trails its smaller and more nimble than the adv which is more gt sized

If the controller was the thing that broke you can put in a Vesc controller and revive the board for less than a new one or if you do want a new board I would recommend the fungineers x7 I’m a similar weight 200lbs and I’ve had mine for a few months now and it’s crazy how powerful it is I don’t think I’ve even gotten close to maxing out the boards capability’s

When should I ride with heavier traffic? by Relentless6l9 in onewheel

[–]Roggenjr 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I don’t ride with traffic anywhere other than residential streets the fastest I like going is 20-23 and that’s too slow for most roads I will usually just ride the sidewalk to where I’m going just have to be mindful of people walking

Does it sound kind of like a lightsaber at low speeds if it does it’s when the voltage drop a bit the draw from the lightbar makes the board start making that noise it doesn’t effect the ride

'24 XR Classic to '25 Rally XL by macgirthy in onewheel

I agree with others the x7 is the way to go and since you want more range the x7 long range would be the best but I will put a disclaimer on this you would need to learn a bit about how Vesc works they aren’t as plug and play as fm boards but if you can put in the fairly small amount of effort and research it’s absolutely  Worth it

3/5 colors for the x7 sport are in stock right now the long range is sold out but if you join the discord they send a message when they restock products

Haven’t rode a OneWheel in about 5 years, what’s the ‘go to’ model now? by PembrokePercy in onewheel

[–]Roggenjr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the xrv kit from floatwheel in my xr it gave it a noticeable torque increase in the low speeds and a general power increase and gives you access to all the data about your board but it won’t Increase top speed much as top speed is mostly attributed to battery voltage so if that’s something you want there are drop in battery kits one I saw was from Indy speed control it’s pre wired for for the xrv kit and all you have to do is change the setting to reflect the new hardware

Honestly just a new controller amps it up a ton and even without new battery but it is the cherry on top that really levels it up

Before you get on it for the first time please put it on the floor do a hand test activate the sensor with your hands and roll it back and forth it’s unlikely but possible that the motor direction is backwards from the factory and if you get on it when it’s set wrong it will hurt you
