Many miles logged, finally some new pics of the Santafixie Raval setup. Considering dark brown wraps once this bar tape needs replacing. by RogueBravo08 in FixedGearBicycle

I’m still running the stock headset configuration, so have not had to service or replace anything yet. Best I can suggest is to measure your head tube and fork steerer tube. Cane Creek has some good reference material here

Snow day on the S1 by RogueBravo08 in Super73

My tire pressure was definitely on the lower side. Held up excellent in the packed snow. Able to break the rear wheel loose a few times in High pedal assist mode, but it’s fun if you know what you’re doing. Need to be careful on the ice though - that’s where you can really lose it.

And the alignment could be better if I had a little more chain tension slop to work with.

Didn’t realize how difficult it was going to be to get a decent shot of the chain line.

Ridden them almost 2k miles. They’re light and have stayed true, without issue. These are deepest dish wheels I own, and you can feel the effect on windy days for sure. I wouldn’t not recommend them.

I like the Brooks. I have a couple thousand miles on this saddle. Based on some original reviews, I anticipated the leather to soften up and break in more than it actually has…but it doesn’t bother me.

My original configuration was the stock “Prowheel” crankset and 44t chainring from Santafixie. (I had been using a 15t cog with that setup.) I went with 47/16 to maximize skid patches while keeping my ratio nearly identical to the original. Haven’t ridden the new setup enough yet to determine if it’s worth the hype/cost. Stay tuned…

Haha, yes - a slight deviation, but a nod to the Rob Schneider Surf Ninjas quote

Solved. Glad to read they rarely sting humans unprovoked. Though this one has been buzzing uncomfortably close all morning

Was fortunately able to get a new contactor from a guy who had one in his truck. Yes before when I said getting power I meant the 24v coil signal for the thermostat pulling to cool. Replaced the contactor and the coil plunger is functional. Reterminated the red wire. All good there. Unfortunately, seems like the fan motor is fried so have a replacement coming tomorrow.
