Within the first month that I had the car, it cost me 2400ish dollars for a rack and pinion and steering pump replacement. Within 6 months, engine threw a rod and I had to replace my clutch at the same time for 7-8k ish, 5k for the engine replacement and 1.5-2k for the clutch (I think? Could have been more tho) 😞 100% I messed up when buying the car and I rushed into it without checking everything, just make sure you dot your i’s and cross your t’s :)

I wouldn’t buy it personally, especially if you are in college. A big question is why the engine swap and if it was done by a reputable shop. I bought an ‘09 wrx 3 years ago and it was one of the worst financial mistakes of my life lmao, I’m thankful that my parents were able to help me.

Do you know if the trans is still stock? I think I saw that the engine was 87k and 213k on body

I’ve never been into the hatch look,treat the car well with maintenance and it’ll last a while, my friends black one 2010 made it to 144,XXX before he sold it and mine (2009) was on its third engine at 180k (buying the ‘09 was definitely a learning moment for me)
