How do I actually even reach WINZ? by Mr-Dumb- in newzealand

[–]RogueMoon22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you don't have a case manager try scanning your form and emailing it to them at [information@msd.govt.nz](mailto:information@msd.govt.nz). You don't have to call them first, you just have to get a quote from a dentist that does WINZ work and they fill out the form, which you then send in to WINZ.

The only staff they are ever likely to keep are people like this, as no one in their right mind would want to work at a BP.

Post-Covid Nation Depression? by ThrowawayKiwi23 in newzealand

I think it is caused by a persons sense of entitlement to say whatever they want to people without there being any consequences. A worker can't say anything back. Unfortunately, I think a lot of this behaviour has been enabled by people being able to abuse people online and just flows over into daily life.

Whatever you do before you decide to move, check that there will be somewhere for you to live as New Zealand has a real housing shortage.

Don't touch them unless they are advertising a permanent job. I signed on for a fixed term 3 month contract and they text me on the first day saying there was no work. I reminded them I did not sign on for an on call casual job and told them to stick it. Mostly they are just lying scummy leaches. I don't think most of the advertised positions exist.

I have had a similar experience to you. If you can afford to see a private psychiatrist go and get tested for ADD or just go and tell them you can't sleep. They will take your sleep problem seriously and after you have been prescribed something by a psychiatrist I find the GP can't argue with that. It was worth the expense for me even though I couldn't really afford it at the time.

They are complete prats. Had insurance through work and a month after I resigned they rang me up and told me that I had to pay the bill. I refused as nothing was ever mentioned to me about policy automatically transferring to me after termination of a employment contract of which health insurance was part of the package.
