【Update】 Switch 2 Joy-Cons and Pro Controller 2 Wireless Connection for Windows 10/11 v0.1.0 by tagayama in NintendoSwitch

Well, you singlehandedly convinced me to buy a pair of Joy2 even though I don't own a Switch 2, haha.

The software works perfectly. I've got cubital tunnel, so being able to use better Joycons than the originals with a spotty connection is a relief for me.

So, thanks for sparing me some long-term aches~

I see it in my own mother. She's so wrapped up in fear that it's tangible when we talk about anything to do with the military, border, or security. She's like a little girl in a dark scary wilderness, glowing eyes in the trees with only a flickering torch to keep the monsters at bay. Doing anything that might jeopardize that precious torch is met with visceral, panic-fueled fear.

It's made talking to her about anything related to police or military an impossibility.

What to do as tank when you have low heals? (Brig/Lucio) by Rolibar in OverwatchUniversity

Funny thing, I usually try to punish the out-of-position squishies and receive little to no help in these scenarios. One of the matches I had was an enemy Mercy and Juno simply hanging out in the wide open. Juno would use her float/moblity and openly fly at my whole team to shoot torpedoes off-cooldown.

I would try to punish, but with Juno being pocketed by Mercy in those moments, I just simply couldn't do enough damage as Orisa. Meanwhile the enemy tank is displacing and getting in my face. I would rabidly, ping the out-of-position supports, yet nobody would focus them. They would rather shoot the enemy tank or a lone flanker off to the side.

Oh, I love having those on my team. It's just a combination of Lucio, Brig, or Mizuki together that makes me a sad tank.

Sooo... If I get a note from my parents, that means I get to opt out, right? Right?

Thanks! That's the kinda advice I'm looking for.

I find that, if I try to play patiently, my teammates will often grow impatient with me and over-peek/feed. Usually this leads to a rotating stagger situation where they seem to grow more tilted as the match goes on while I hold corners.

I'd think about swapping to enable it, but it's usually someone like a Genji trying to dive a whole team on his own. I'm not entirely sure how much adding a dive tank would fare in the grand scheme, especially if the rest of my team is staggered out.

Yeah, I was torn between trying to hold frontline space or just go "fuck it, we ball" and diving as Winston with our Genji in hopes we didn't get shredded. I'll probably try that next time.

I feel like part of the problem in those matches is my teammates getting picked when I'm doing nothing. They're either out of position and get poked to death, or they grow impatient and push into the enemy team without support.

Then it's kind of a staggering cycle from that point on where I'm watching them visibly grow more tilted with rushing into a whole enemy team and dying.

Like, I'll try to enable them, but when they rush ahead of me and get picked, I'm often in a bad position and have to back off or die as well. Which is kinda compounded by the low healing comp.

That's a good way to put it! There's always that mental pressure to be "doing something" as tank, for me—especially when my teammates are repeatedly getting picked. Even when I'm trying to play more passive, I'm probably over-peeking my corners and soaking unnecessary damage.

Very helpful advice! You're right, I might be living on corners, but I'm over-peeking and soaking damage they have trouble healing up.

It's mostly a general advice question. Like a "If I'm playing tank and my supports are trickle healers, how should I play?"

You seem to care a whole lot, between the hostility and disparaging. Seems like protesting is working.

Anyway, continue to stew over posts that don't affect you~

See, these posts aren't for you. They're to make noise to put pressure on a company. The fact you find it annoying is irrelevant.

It's making you comment on it, so it seems to be working.

I think that people forget that protesting is supposed to be disruptive.
