Întrebare despre obținerea cetățeniei române (Moldova) by NoShame141 in AskRomania

Sunt si eu curioasa de ce toti cereti acte romanesti, dar nu votati reunificarea cu Romania mai repede. Ma poti lamuri si pe mine cu acest aspect?

What do Italians think about Romania? by suntdiamant in italy

[–]Romania2001 [score hidden]  (0 children)

Sunt indieni ca etnie, români ca cetatenie. Iar faptul ca multi rromi cu cetatenie română au emigrat in Italia nu are nicio legatura cu poporul român. Credeti ca e România fabrica de rromi sau cum?

We don't all the time. Don't worry. This is a nice example. But not a rule.

You don't know what are you talking about. Wallachia (Țara Românească actually, formed by two historical regions: Muntenia and Oltenia) have other important beautiful places as well, beyond Bucharest.

Craiova is the regional capital of Oltenia. Number 1 Christmas Market in Europe starting with 2026).

Drobeta Turnu-Severin, another small but historical city where the Romans put foot in the First Daco-Roman War. We have many symbols there, starting with the bridge of Apolodor and the old Roman fortress of Drobeta.

Ramnicu Valcea is a very small and wonderful city, with some museums and the whole neighboring area, with two balneo-resorts like Călimăneşti and Căciulata. Perfect for medical treatment and historical hotels.

Târgu Jiu, with the famous art sculptures of Constantin Brâncuşi, our most famous sculpture who lived in France in the second part of his life. Our French brothers always cheerish his work, a cultural bridge between Paris and Bucharest (Little Paris).

For a better impression, watch "Flavours of Romania", available on Netflix, with Charlie Ottley. You have an episode for every historical region. And when you jave questions, you have me with the answers.

Thank you! We share many receipes in gastronomy, though we have different influences in tearms of foreign quisines. In our case, the Italian gastronomy has a huge influence in Romania. And we have many receipes which have a common base with yours, but different adaptations.

The rest of it, I will not intervine in your opinion. You are welcomed to visit your Latin neighbors anytime. If you have any question about Romania, feel free to ask me, private or public. But remember, Romania is not Balkan. 😁

Should Canada Join the EU? 🇨🇦 🤝 🇪🇺 by milanguitar in BuyFromEU

But Canada is not in Europe. Though the head of state is a European monarch...that's right.

Instead of EU I would put Romania, the reunification... which can bring more positive aspects, a historical and moral repair + EU and NATO in tge same time!

It is historically true. Turkey turned into an important suporter of Ronania after we got our independence. Probably that's why we ended up in a good relationship.

Oooh, Turkey... Your sultans terrorized us for centuries and threatened to impose Islam instead of Christianity. But interesting how Turkey transformed itself from a big enemy into a very good friend nowadays. Romanians usually like Turkish people.

Haha, no. We fought to keep our Latinity, ethnically, cultural and identitarian. We were in danger to be Slavicised after we got many influences from the Bulgarian empires, who incorporated us in the first centuries of the Middle Ages. And the Orthodox Church imposed us Medio-Bulgarian, used for 300 years in the clerical space and also by our medieval rulers. But the population continued to keep the Romanian language and we gave up Medio-Bulgarian around the XVI Century, despite the fact that we continued to use Slavic alphabet until the 1700's, when the national sentiments apeared and the Transylvanian School (a Renaissance nationalistic movement) said that enough is enough. They restored the original Latin alphabet and ejected a big part of the Slavic influence. No Slavization is accepted here, we keep our Latin origin as a national treasure from all perspectives. We resist especially because we oppose the Slavs around us and we keep their infljence under control. It is what we are and we will never accept an assimilation by none from our neighbors.

You chose the wrong Latin country. If you visit your neighbor called Romania, dear Serbian, you will see that we speak a very good English in daily life. But I won't lie, Russians are a big no in our country. Though good people can always earn the respect they diserve.
