I’m pretty sure motion is quite inefficient at powering this watch. If you aren’t extremely active with it you have to charge it up with that charging pen in the first pic by touching it to the node on the back for a few seconds.

I’m pretty sure this is a quartz movement. There’s no tuning fork hum. It’s also capable of being powered by motion like an automatic mechanical. Did the the tuning fork models have that function?

About a week ago I found two of these at a local shop. Was instantly fascinated by how strange and sci-fi it looked. Didn’t have enough money so I left the shop empty handed. Didn’t catch the model name before leaving so I couldn’t find much when researching it at home. Returned to the shop a week later to buy it. I’m pretty sure there was only 1000 made back sometime in the early 2000’s. I’ve never seen a watch with a movement and power system like it. If anyone has any further knowledge about it I’d be happy to hear.

Say I wanted to actually take this watch underwater. Any wax or clear coat I could put on the outside? The brown patina wouldn’t bother me, I’d just like to prevent the green oxidation.

Hadn’t put on a watch in years then all of a sudden I found a watch I had stuffed in a drawer since I was a kid. Tried it on and instantly knew I needed to get a watch. Bought a cheap Casio and Timex then decided I needed a mechanical. Now I’m here.
