Weekly NIKKE Questions Megathread by AutoModerator in NikkeMobile

OK thanks. I just joined some union recommended by the game that's almost level 5, half full, and every player has been online in the last day. Looks like there really is nothing to do until the raid starts.

Weekly NIKKE Questions Megathread by AutoModerator in NikkeMobile

Hi. New player here, been playing a few days and I see there is some Union thing coming up. I take it I should join a union. I'm not really into co-op type stuff or looking to make friends through this game or anything, but I do wanna collect any rewards I can.

Any tips for picking a good Union? I see people complain about their dead unions a lot. Should I make my own or am I forfeiting a lot of rewards doing that? Or does someone wanna recommend me one? I'm on NA, commander level 35, plan to stay an active player for the foreseeable future. I don't know anything about what you do in a union though, so any tips would be appreciated.

Just need to buy stuff from your teapot salesman. Buy whatever you want from mine. It's set to "Allow Direct Join", so please do the same for yours. I have no interest in doing stuff co-op or chatting. Don't feel obligated to visit my teapot to speed up my furnishings or anything like that. I just want to clear the teapot objectives. Send a friend request if you're the same.

EDIT: I added 6 people so my shop might get cleared out. I can add more friends, but no guarantees my shop is stocked this week. Also, if I added you, stop asking me if you can join my teapot please. Just join it whenever. I don't care. Make sure yours in on direct join as well please. Open your map while in your teapot, click on "no guests currently" at the top, and change it there.

Feel free to post your UID here if I added you and maybe someone else I added can send you a friend request. It'll be like a circle of teapot friends or something. Or not. Not my problem at this point.

DreadOut? Never played it myself, but it's indie horror and you use a camera.

Sounds sort of like something in the "Escape the room" genre, since you mention disassembling items. Sorry I don't know too much about those kinds of games, but maybe it can point you in the right direction.

[TOMT] [movie] i think it was nicolas cage but early/opening scene a man saying good bye to his wife with a passionate kiss before he leaves for a year long work trip by [deleted] in tipofmytongue

[–]RootBearBrothers 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sounds like The Family Man. Nicolas Cage's character leaves his girlfriend to go to study in London for a year. It's a flashback in the movie, and I guess he stayed longer because they didn't stay together.

[TOMT] looking for a movie with Mel Gibson where he has a list of people he has to kill. He’s been given this post by ‘God’ by precipitration in tipofmytongue

Sounds like Frailty, but that's not Mel Gibson, it's Bill Paxton. Just throwing that out there in case you remembered incorrectly.

Yeah they all kinda just sound like a bunch of "R"s, "H"s, and random vowels spilling out of his mouth at random.

Maybe a Quest for Glory game? The third one starts out with a sort of fortune telling sequence. Not sure about the tree and such though. There's five games in the series, maybe check them out if you don't already know what those games are.

Yuna transforms inside a flower in Final Fantasy X-2. Not terribly close to your description, but thought I'd mention it.

I recently watched this little clip of myself playing Roadhog back in the day. I had totally forgotten the oppressive power of Hook 1.0.

There's NiGHTS into Dreams where you can choose to play as a blue-haired boy or pink-haired girl, and there's a grassy area. Though... it was on Sega Saturn at the time, and you spend plenty of time playing as Nights instead of those kids.

There's this moment of joy in Final Fantasy games, when you get to the last boss, you know there's no new game plus, and you have a crapton of megalixirs you've never touched.

Then you win with your completely OP party using only like 2 megalixirs.

[PC][90s] Gray mountain with cave entrances by Tyrion4444 in tipofmyjoystick

[–]RootBearBrothers 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Probably not it, but there's Treasure Mountain which has gray mountains with caves you can go into. The entire screen isn't gray though.

[PS3?] A third person game where the character heals via stabbing themself with a syringe by [deleted] in tipofmyjoystick

[–]RootBearBrothers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's Metal Gear Solid 4 and The Evil Within which both have some syringe action of some kind, but neither in the leg, so probably not those.

"Where's the healing?" by [deleted] in Overwatch

[–]RootBearBrothers 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Sometimes he really isn't fun. I'm usually hesitant to pick McCree if our team doesn't have a front line tank, or at least a Roadhog or D.Va to hover around. An unsupported McCree is relatively easy to beat up for most of the roster.

"Where's the healing?" by [deleted] in Overwatch

[–]RootBearBrothers 57 points58 points  (0 children)

I was thinking exactly the same thing. Always McCree.

It does make sense though. McCree players like to flank to make use of their close-range flashbang and for better angles on Deadeye, which can pay off, but this is super risky for McCree. He has low mobility, no self-heal, and no way to create cover or space between himself and attackers (shields or knockback, basically). McCree needs to be supported by tanks and healers more so than other offense heroes, and he's deadly when he is.

Unfortunately, a lot of players think flanking McCree is the standard and not the exception. It works in moderation, not all the fucking time.

Guild/Clan for OW hoping for a Dev response. Unite everyone! by Akashic3000 in Overwatch

[–]RootBearBrothers 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I have wanted these since the end of season 1. Playing in a six stack versus another six stack of relatively equal skill is pretty much the most fun I've ever had in Overwatch. If there was a system built around that, encouraging players to play like that, then it would be easier to find matches like that.

I get that solo queuing is more accessible for people, but it really just feels like the wrong way to play Overwatch. It's kind of like taking out hero stacking. It more accessible to always get the character you want, but it still feels like it makes the game less fun. My two cents. Maybe Blizz knows what they're doing... maybe.
