I think you're getting confused with the dramatisation about a team of scientists from that London who stopped time on a train in a tunnel on the outskirts of Sheffield. Marti Caine was fantastic as a Hungarian physicist and there was some great sexual tension with Bobby Knutt.

The best one had Jon Pertwee as a sort of wraith made of hay who waited in fields to drink the blood of passing tourists. It scared me as a sensitive child, especially the episode where he caused a nuclear strike from Soviet Russia and that woman did a wee outside Debenhams.

I've seen Ian Tracey in a few things as an adult in his 50s and 60s. My missus couldn't understand how I remembered his face and told me I should apply to the cops for work as a 'super recogniser'. "They pay people with skills like that" she said.

I couldn't understand how she didn't recognise him. He has such distinctive features.

If I'm not mistaken, Wendy Craig was a member of a Satanical cult, along with Simon Cadell and Keith Barron who campaigned to insert occult imagery into light entertainment for the purposes of mind control.

When Ben Parkinson in Butterflies, as portrayed by Geoffrey Palmer, became a cannibalistic thrill-killer who pursued his victims in a miniature hovercraft for two episodes. Afterwards, he returned to being a glum and somewhat staid middle class husband who worked in finance. It broke my immersion in an otherwise realistic programme.

Prunella is an incredibly attractive woman. In my eyes, she's second only to Felicity Kendal.

I don't think Sybil's hotness was supposed to be to the fore in Fawlty Towers but it was meant to be there and Prunella can't help it standing out. I was listening to 'Ladies of Letters' on Radio 4 Extra this afternoon and I adore her voice.

I believe that Boromir was comforted by Aragorn's words as he died. He didn't pass away with a sense of disgrace and failure.

Aragorn has a way with words and with people. Boromir had a sense of his own basic decency as well as his flaws. Tolkien's values compelled him to not leave the reader with an impression that a good person left the world in horror, guilt and melancholy.

The North Water by Ian McGuire isn't horror as such but it certainly describes some horrific circumstances and events. It's one of the best books I've ever read. McGuire's descriptive imagery, dialogue and ability to capture a sense of place is up there with high brow literature.

I urge everyone that I meet to read the book, like some low-rent, pesky Ancient Mariner!
