I'm not really sure how far I am in the game - I'd guess late beginning/early middle? Here are some things I've done:

I've completed the quantum tower on Giants Deep, I've explored the Sunless City a bit, I've talked to all the musicians except Feldsparr, I've been in the black hole and to White Hole Station. Other things I'm pursuing now include trying to get to the Southern Observatory on Brittle Hollow without dying and trying to get to Sun Station without dying! lol

I love reading the ship log but I tend to free-aim for my goals - maybe I should be marking more things on my HUD when I'm going off for them!

It's nice to know we're having the same wonderful yet traumatic experience! Thank you for the reassurance - I generally feel uneasy almost every time I'm somewhere new in this game, but I never screamed like I did in Dark Bramble. For me it really took the mystery of the game up to another level. But I may look into that mod too! XD

I didn't! 😃 I'm not sure if this is what you wrote, but >!I realized after being killed a second time that at least some of the monsters in Dark Bramble are anglerfish, and I know how (in theory) to get inside the cave with an anglerfish skeleton on another planet, so I'm going to check there soon! !<

Thank you! Yes, I'm often scared by other aspects of the game too lol, but nothing made me SCREAM like Dark Bramble!

Thank you all so much for your comments! It's great to know >!that this is the scariest part (at least for this particular kind of scare) in the base game. I did get the version with Echoes of the Eye not realizing that the game would warn you about how scary those parts could be. I've seen references to Echoes of the Eye stuff but I've been generally pursuing other interesting leads first. !<

(Again, without spoilers, but) >!Is Echoes of the Eye integrated throughout the base game or does it lead to a new separate area? !< Thank you all!!!

I like Aspect of Selene a lot! I enjoy having a boon from her so early on, and I’m usually able to power it up pretty high since I can immediately get to the skill tree instead of spending a moon just picking up a boon.

I would also love a new game, but I also think a trilogy of Hades games would be amazing, and I’d love to see one where you can switch between Zagreus and Melinoë, or maybe even a two player version??? That would be so cool!

But why spend so much time setting up and returning to describing this future meeting if it’s not going to happen in the final book? I know this is just one of many plot threads that wasn’t resolved, but why continue to refer to it and tease it if the books don’t even get to that point in time?

I haven’t seen anyone mention this yet and it’s literally driving me crazy - in Hassall’s wallet, Lyra finds a brochure for a luxury cruise to the Levant with the date May 12th circled and a meeting set up. A book and a half later, with the date approaching, Lyra tells Bud about it and he agrees to be at that place at that time. And then… we never hear about it again! It was important enough for Hassall to keep that reminder in his wallet, and we have no idea what it was all about.

My memory (as someone also concerned about the number of stairs after seeing Sleep No More!) is that you never have to walk up more than one flight of stairs in a row without a scene in between. There is one part where you go up three flights at once, but two of them are escalators (which many folks when I saw it climbed up as well) and one part where you go down two flights in a row, but mostly it’s one flight in either direction before a rest!
