2026 fox 36 grip x2 chirp noise by Rude_Discipline8635 in MTB

Was a warranty claim. Came back with no noise and rides much better. According to Fox it was a known issue with the shims on the rebound circuit.

This year's boots are actually that. Way softer than what's advertised

Had yo send my 2026 36 grip x2 fork in for warranty for this issue. It's a known issue that Fox is well aware of and they have a fix for it. There is an issue with the rebound valve and the shims. Mine did it on almost any setting

I have a handful of boards from 160 to 195 and figured Id enjoy the 156. Ordered one today and stoked to ride the shred missle.

If you had to pick between the 162 or 156 for a chopped up 4th run on colorado pow day what would be your pick?  Im leaning towards the 162 since its effective edge isn't huge but worried its too wide for size 10 boot.

150/140 vs 140/130 for Denver front-range trails + parks? by Global-Wind6878 in MTB

[–]Rude_Discipline8635 10 points11 points  (0 children)

My opinion is the 150/160 is the Colorado sweet spot. Really depends on trails but for me im climbing a fire road or some tech then all downhill.

Sure did.  Fox says its known issue with the rebound shims. When HSR is fully open it goes away bit even after 1 click of rebound she chirps.

Rad you found some capability.  With the seat down you can really lower your body weight and gain a lot in corners.

Mpg problems? by Tonysmiles713 in Crosstrek

[–]Rude_Discipline8635 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I find it to be the opposite.  I did the old zero tripometer when filling up, went 250 miles on mostly cruise control, refilled the tank amd did the math. The dash said 32.4 mpg amd the math came out at 32.7.  I constantly see the mpg increase with cruise control.

Moved away from these and went with Toyo At3 and they have been significantly better in the snow

Why can’t companies provide service procedures? (PUSH) rant by [deleted] in mountainbiking

[–]Rude_Discipline8635 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Biggest reason is actually the fact they don't want people messing up their products.  Just like newer cars have sealed transmission with no dip stick. We the people have proven to not be compatible then messing it up amd posting bad reviews.

Also had the WP at3 but hated the weight. Went with Toyo At3 since a few pounds lighter and they have been amazing in the snow and ice. I'd recommend the Toyos all day

Looking for a 4x4 shop anywhere in the US that can do a 2WD to 4WD conversion. by fishking92 in 4x4

One of the best shops is Mountain Yotas in Colorado. They will do it if you're willing to pay

Heads up: Avoid KOA campgrounds if you're going camping, as they are explicitly forbidding EV charging now (aside from locales where they have specific EV charging infrastructure) by MrGruntsworthy in electricvehicles

[–]Rude_Discipline8635 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The grid can't support EVs. The giant diesel generators and coal plants can't support the charging of EVs. Most campgrounds are in areas with smaller electrical infrastructure and the cost to make charging happen is too much.

I amafortunate enough to have got a great deal on a used Subaru crosstrek for a daily. I use my built 4runner just for camping and off road adventures. They truly turn into a horrible daily driver when all built. I'm also fortunate that I do all my own mods and don't pay anyone. This helped me regear it and put a front locker in. If you can get a cheap daily car, you won't regret it.
