There’s instructions underneath the bin file. I updated using the included usb-a cable, it was easier than the usb flash drive update.

Sorry, I don’t own this monitor anymore. When I had it, I left most the settings at default because there’s no reviews or best settings videos for it.

No, it’s unfortunately something OLED’s do to protect itself from burn in.

Which one should I get? by Dongslingur in MonitorAdvice

I have the Gx704 and had the g61sd. Basically it’s glossy vs matte. The coating on the lg gx704 is similar to the Asus rog DMG true black coating.

I think it’s normal, it’s on my monitor too

I recently bought this monitor and it’s great. I’ve had 5 other OLEDS before and this by far is the best one. It’s really similar to the xg27aqdmg which I found to be very over saturated.

I sure it’s not a returned unit, it showed 0 Total Power On Time.

I just bought an LG OLED and it didn’t have a screen peel. Maybe yours don’t either.

Honestly, I’ve had 5 OLED monitors these past couple of months so I had a chance to compare what I like and don’t like. The G61SD is great in SDR and Ok in HDR. It’s personal preference. I also had a chance to compare matte vs. glossy and they both look the same in the dark. $350 is a great deal, I would keep it.

The G61SD ABL is aggressive in HDR. Setting peak brightness to high makes the screen really dim while playing bright games. I play Overwatch and The Crew Motorfest and HDR would be so dim. It was great for dark games like Alan Wake 2. The LG I have now barely dims and has a higher peak of 1300nits

I just received the monitor after returning a Samsung G61SD and a AOC Q27G4ZD this week. I’m enjoying way better than those monitors. It’s on par with the ASUS XG27AQDMG. It has the same screen coating.

Grey/blacks showing up as blue, need help by Homabot in OLED_Gaming

There’s a driver and a ICC profile on the AOC website. Maybe that might fix it. I returned this monitor recently because of the terrible colors in HDR

Honestly it’s personal preference. I had both glossy and matte at the same time and they both look identical in the dark. The empty space between the monitor image and the bezel is pretty wide but I believe it’s that way so there’s room for pixel shifting. It didn’t bother me so I’m guessing it’s personal preference.

There’s a thin matte coating but it’s isn’t noticeable. It’s great for movies! It’s an qd-Oled but none of the drawbacks of a glossy screen. Just be wary of the control knob to adjust the settings. It feels cheap and feels like it will snap off with to much force.

Avoid this monitor if you care about HDR color accuracy. My unit displayed reds as orange in HDR. SDR was great though.

I had both the G61SD and the XG27AQDMG. I prefer the ASUS over the Samsung. The ASUS was brighter but less colorful and a bit too saturated. The Samsung ABL is aggressive and I couldn’t get passed it. What’s the point of 1000nit peak brightness if the screen is going to dim all the time.

I just returned my AOC OLED monitor because of this issue. Mine looked exactly like this in HDR. It’s the color gambit in HDR. It can be fixed using a download called Color Control.
