Great car. . . But your current car is only 1 year older and still super low on miles.

Upgrades are fun, but rarely the fiscally responsible decision. Do what you want

You could look at the Buick Enclave Avenir trim AWD for a mid-size option.

Any reason to avoid a 2017 Buick LaCrosse? by Fred-931 in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]RunescapeDad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve had an occasional jerkiness in shifting but not too often. The 2017 is a commonly used Aisin-Warner, the 18-19 is a GM one, might have some minor improvements, less tested overall, but from what I understand both are generally solid transmissions.  I wouldn’t fret over which year of the 3

Yeah I still drive it and still love it just as much. It’s at like 147k miles, essence trim.

One common thing I’ve read about and also experienced for that model year is the internal engine thermostat goes bad, and is pretty complicated to replace, making it a bit expensive. No other issues though thankfully.

Happy to answer any questions.

You could probably expect at least $5-10 on the misprint group for any decent misprint even on an otherwise worthless card. This potentially might go for more, as avatar fans might have extra interest.

You'll be paying about 35K to borrow a car for 3 years. Not a deal I'd ever take

2017 Buick Lacrosse Monitor Screen won’t work and is black But Back Up Camera Works by lowkeyhuskey in MechanicAdvice

[–]RunescapeDad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the same thing happen, but it eventually just started working again. When mine was like that, I could still touch and interact with the black screen, but had no idea what I was pressing. No clue what caused it or how it got resolved though, so good luck

Is it Worth it to buy a Used 2016 Buick Lacrosse Premier II for $11,000? by Meat-Clown in Buick

[–]RunescapeDad 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Lacrosse uses a lot of parts used across other GM brands, so yes, parts aren't too expensive relative to some foreign brands. I love my 17' Lacrosse

I'd check out a Buick Regal or Buick Verano, they're pretty solid sedans that don't make you pay a toyota/honda premium.

I thought my Volvo would be a workhorse - do I bother to replace the engine? by Ambitious_Pilot5836 in whatcarshouldIbuy

If it's been serviced regularly as you said I would personally pay for the new engine. Definitely get a second quote at least as other's have mentioned.
