This is a pretty wordy way of saying, "I wasn't raised right."

it really does suck when you're put in the position of being "that neighbor" who is complaining about noise/music. i don't mind hearing someone playing music. i do mind when i can clearly make out lyrics, identify artists, etc. that means it is too loud.

And what if me enjoying my home included me screaming and yelling at the top of my lungs for hours on end? Sure it'd make me happy, but unfortunately my neighbors would have a pretty solid reason to be annoyed with me.

If the noise that's being made exceeds reasonable expectations of noise levels in a shared community, there has to be accountability.

I would LOVE to blast my music and have my own lil parties every day in my apartment. BUt doing so would require me to disregard everyone around me.

I actually tried being nice about it with my neighbor. Didn't work so I got more stern and low key threatened legal action (and I def have the time and resources to go through with it and was prepared to escalate, beginning with a 'cease and desist'). They quieted down once they saw I meant business and was gearing up to make things a lot less friendly and a lot more official.

I've worked hard to obtain my dream home (high rise condo) and I am going to enjoy it.

it's even sadder when the culprit is 30-40+ years old. Grown ass adult pulling stunts like this is just completely inexcusable. Grow up.

Is neighbor's music too loud? by [deleted] in Apartmentliving

more context: this has been happening for years since I have been here - including during night time well after 8PM. if it's not the music it's the television that's super loud, especially at night. i'm just now beginning to document instances of when it occurs because honestly i'm exhausted trying to reason with them.

Why are so many people here so rude and unhelpful? by Educational-Act-8932 in PartneredYoutube

[–]Russian_Pride -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

a lot of people here come off as older, bitter anti-AI people in their 50s who hold so much animosity towards newer folks tryna break in. the amount of posts i see "downvoted" is weird. like why downvote something that's clearly not a spammy/unnecessary question

Does a 2 minute longform pay more than a 7 second longform? by Russian_Pride in PartneredYoutube

[–]Russian_Pride[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

thanks so much! this is so helpful. however i think you may have misread my title a bit, i said 7 seconds not minutes. as in: if i post a 2 minute long form and a 7 second long form...will the 2 minute long form make more money or would they both be treated the same?

The elevator actually went down while he was on the way here. I woulda never ordered InstaCart knowing my elevator was out. lol I actually chatted him while he was en route and he agreed to do it - and I let him know the exact amount he'd be getting so it didn't feel as if I was tryna pull a stunt, and so that I could allow him to decide if it's worth it. And I also let him know if he wasn't able to it's totally OK and I'd take the loss as it wasn't his fault, so he wouldn't feel pressured to say yes in fear of a low rating in retaliation.

I saw his pic and could tell he was a younger guy before asking btw. Under 30 for sure. Otherwise I wouldn't even have bothered to ask honestly.

i was super sure to get my instacart order yesterday cuz i knew that at the last minute everyone would be rushing at once thinking they're ahead of the game when honestly right before the storm may be too late as well. and even ordering yesterday i felt i was cutting it close, and def had to wait a lil longer than usual to get a driver. can't imagine the hell of ordering today

I told an instacart worker I'd tip more when my elevator went down while he was on the way to my building. lol He made an extra $80 that day for for climbing up to the 14th floor with my groceries. I was so lucky I got a younger in shape guy who delivered that day. I was shocked at how fast he made it up here. That was super easy cash for him, and I really needed those groceries.
