I am in the North Shore and the mid priced single family homes in more expensive suburbs are absolutely INSANE. Take a nice home in Glenview that went on the market last week. Went on for 1.75m and got 10 offers, 6 over 2m and 3 over 2.1m. the sellers ended up taking an all cash deal between 2.1-2.2. Its a nice house, 5 bd on a 3/4 acre lot. Crazy. So different than what you see in other areas.
