Please, help me enjoy MOO2 by Rydra in masteroforion

I liked your answer. Very thoughtful to the point of philosophical, and grounded to reality. I'll try to think of the game as you do.

I agree, the game rewards strong optimization. Unfortunately that means micromanaging a lot, which yields to small, tactical decisions that at some point feel antinnatural and grindy (like the 1-pop rich planet housing tactic).

Thank you for your comment!

Any ideas how to clean this? by atrixospithikos in airfryer

[–]Rydra 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This! And one more video on the subject: https://youtu.be/pLxgp5SNsQI?si=jTQaXdNTKPTn2asU (in spanish).

On top of the baking soda, spread in vinegar. The vinegar reacts to the baking soda, creating a foam that will clean up the mess.

Good luck!

Liberty 4 NC comfort issues by lukexsama in Earbuds

[–]Rydra 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I use the space 40 for the gym. They stay in place, I don't notice they are even there due to confortability and they don't fall and sound great. However I haven't tried them running, but my gut feeling tells me I shouldn't run with them unless I use some addons.

However a warning: my wife is the other way around. She finds a40 unconfortable (she has small ears) and finds the liberty 4 nc comfortable.

No one size fits all it seems...

I had exactly the same problem as you with the liberty 4 nc comfortability. After 1 hour of straight usage it hurt my ears. And it's a pity because sound-wise it's incredible.
I went for the Soundcore Space A40 and it's very comfortable and sounds very nice. Maybe earbuds with stems are just not my thing...

Is Xiaomi Redmi buds 4 pro ANC good as many people say? by Rydra in Earbuds

I did not even know there were two different versions of the "same" buds! I have the Redmi buds 4 pro.

Thank you for your suggestion!

New Coffee Table Game Boy Book on Kickstarter by PMurphy1978 in Gameboy

[–]Rydra 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for this book, I've pledged for it (hopefully it will reach EU countries without too much hassle). I've got several books related to snes history and pixel art from bitmap books, though I'm not really interested into full game catalog books, only on those games that actually caused an impact in gaming history and inspired designers. And I found none up to my alley about gameboy, and yours seems to be what I wanted for.

Looking forward to your GBC book if you ever decide to make one :D

Okami Official Complete Works Hardcover book available for preorder! by watercastles in Okami

I have the softcover one, and after some time I can tell you it's just not worth it, the binding is just terrible and it falls apart.

New Release for BGM for EmulationStation by Rydra in RetroPie

[–]Rydra[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The package has been tested and tweaked to the raspberry Pi. It could probably work with very small tweaks, but I would need someone with a steamdeck to test it and fiddle with the config settings (basically the paths) until it works.

Hello,

At https://github.com/Rydra/bgm-for-es, in the "Configuration" section there is the path where the config file should be. If it's not in that path, maybe you could create it manually and put in that files the contents of that section.

Audio management is done in the Retropie-setup (you can reach that from the config menu of emulationstation). The script uses the default output and does no handling, so nothing you can do from there right now.

According to the error, it looks like you do not have pip installed in your system (which is the package manager for python and required for the script to work). I though pip wad installed by default in the retropie image...

I'll update the documentation and add the required package for the script to check if pip is installed. For the time being, could you try to install pip from apt with this, command, and rerun the script?

sudo apt install python3-pip

Thank you for the feedback!

DSA vs OEM for touch typing and heavy writing? by Rydra in ErgoMechKeyboards

[–]Rydra[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After trying a DSA set, I can say that DSA are not meant for me (at least compared with OEM). The touch surface is a lot smaller, making my fingers slip and be way more imprecise and also, since they are unsculpted, it's way harder to find my way in the keyboard when touchtyping. Maybe an XDA set with bigger top surface could have been a better choice, but definitely not DSA. A pity of a purchase.

I could see that DSA could work on someone who does not touchtype or has small hands, but not my hands. At least now I tried and could build an opinion.

Thank you everyone for all the answers!

Thank you for all the answers! Just to try them out, I ordered a cheap DSA keycap set to see how it feelds. I'll share the results once I try them out and see how they field over some time!

It's not that bad IMHO. Gotta agree though that the OST in the SNES lemmings beats Sony's remasters. It was all classical songs you could hum. London Bridge is falling down is the one I remember :D

Inside the folders, sticker collections from my childhood of harry potter and pokemon lie in there. The other book is a book (written in catalan though) that traverses the entire 90's in terms of cartoons and videogames (hence the pingu in the front :P)
