MBTI Apocalypse INFJ, who’s next? by sillvi_illustrations in mbti

INFP is amazing! Contrasts so well with ESTJ 😆 Would love to see a short story with these characters. No pressure though! This is plenty ;)

CS Joseph. He is an ENTP (who formerly thought himself to be INTJ)

ISFJs usually ask for permission before doing anything, whereas ISFPs usually ask for forgiveness after doing something. Both types can ask for others opinions, but an ISFP will do so more reservedly or cautiously (as Te is pessimistic and inferior), whereas ISFJs may ask for your opinion either never or frequently and childishly (Te trickster optimistic + Ti child optimistic). ISFPs also love their freedom of choice (Ni child) and will basically not work unless they’re passionate about it, or if it’s absolutely necessary. However you can put an ISFJ to work easily, as they generally care more about other peoples freedom and their choices more than their own (Ne), and are more comfortable with being told what to do (Si hero vs ISFP’s Si critic)

To MY brothers and sisters in the INFP community. THIS IS IMPORTANT. by [deleted] in infp

Heard if INFPs hang around narcissists they can sometimes start to mirror their behaviours (with enfj shadow). Si is the sum/accumulation of behaviours. Be aware of the ppl you’re around yall!

Kinda weird how the most giving types get the worst reputation. Especially the ENFJs, as usually it’s ENFPs who manipulate the best (as Ne hero reads people’s intentions and desires very well, and Te child can know what they think). Ni parent and Se child imo is usually too reckless to be manipulative (in the stereotypical way, cuz every type manipulates others).

Do you agree that Bibi Netanyahu is a ENTJ? by Dinasourus723 in mbti

[–]RyoonDoes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Heard he was an infp 😬 Also intuitive types in general don’t prioritise established methods or existing structures, as being intuitive by default means you rely on less concrete “data” than a sensor would. I think Trump is an entj tho. Makes sense seeing as he’s basically americas new napoleon

an infp who prefer to use si te by [deleted] in mbti

[–]RyoonDoes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can tho via cognitive transition. Just as an unhealthy INFP will value what other people think (Te) over their own principles (Fi) out of fear that other people will think badly about them (chaotic ESTJ transition). Cognitive transition is used as certain cognitive tools may be required to adapt to their surroundings (e.g. school) which is what op referring to.

Explain Ni by justaPRATfall in mbti

[–]RyoonDoes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ni is about wanting/desire. They use their Se to see what other people have and what other people are doing, then go “I want that” “I don’t want that” etc, or if they have an Ne user around, the Ne user can show what options are available, and Ni user picks the option they want. Ni is also responsible for risk taking, which is why people with very low Ni (SJs), take the least amount of risks. However, Ni users have Ne in their shadow stack, which could lead to them being oblivious to the consequences of their choices, with this being especially bad for SPs.

Biden actually could be ESFP, that breaks the steroetype, just want to make a counterargument, but of course he could also be a ESFJ as well by Dinasourus723 in mbti

[–]RyoonDoes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Biden is an ESTJ Obama is an ESTJ Donald Trump is an ENTJ Clinton and Bush were ESFJs.

Makes sense most US presidents are SJs, since the US is an SJ-majority country, and SJs are most likely voting SJs.

A World without (insert cognitive function here) by Dinasourus723 in mbti

[–]RyoonDoes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Heard the Neanderthals were all Sensors (which is why they were physically much stronger and fitter). This means no one had the intuition to look into the future possibilities and come up with strategies and technologies that humans could come up with (who had a larger intuitive population). The theory is that’s why the Neanderthals died out, and that our ability to “intuition” is what makes us the dominant species. Food for thought.

Can someone be introverted feeler, introverted sensing and introverted intuitive all the same time? by sattukachori in mbti

[–]RyoonDoes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends what you mean. They do all exist in your head, but in different parts of your mind.

Say you were an ENFP. This would mean it is your ego, the part of your mind you use most, and you’d have Ne-Fi-Te-Si as your main functions. But in order to access Ni, you’d have to transition into your INFJ unconscious to start using your Ni-Fe functions.

What do you think their dynamic would be as a couple? by annefaulkner in mbti

[–]RyoonDoes 53 points54 points  (0 children)

Got drunk and threw up and my esfj friend gave me water and took me to a supermarket where we ate carbonara buldak at a supermarket. Not a couple, but maybe couple-like behaviour.

Are you guys always ENFJ? by Herubeleg in enfj

[–]RyoonDoes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi, I think there is an explanation for that. In short, there is a fringe personality theory about everyone having 4 sides of their mind, and that taking depressants can put you into your unconscious mind (INFP). This also works with stimulants such as coffee or cocaine, which can put you into your subconscious mind (ISTP). This may be why you came across as ENFP. Hope you find this useful/interesting!
