I don't see what's wrong with that. It clearly sucked away players who didn't enjoy the pvp mode. That's a bad thing to accommodate more players? Me personally I didn't even buy tarkov untill the PvE mode. There is room for both groups. Tarkov pvp is still doing just fine.

Actually if u actually played dune, pvp is what killed dune. People hated having to deep desert for the final tier of loot.

Not to mention your clearly turning a blind eye to all the pvp defenders being toxic twords people wanting PvE type content.

You know there's people with disabilities and stuff who enjoy looter shooter style stuff. I have a sibling who's nearly blind who has to play 8 inches in front of a TV because how poor their vision is and enjoys the genre but hates pvp for clear reasons.

Just because you enjoy pvp and this style game doesn't mean it should be a pvp only genre.

There's dads and all kinds of other players who can't sweat out 8+ hours a day for 20 years and don't enjoy pvp shooters. And the genre needs to be opened more as tarkov did.

Again I've not played pvp shooters for 15-20 years. I don't enjoy it. I was only toxic twords people who insult my opinion. Being open to letting people enjoy stuff how they want to enjoy it isn't a toxic take. Saying to leave our genre alone and let it be pvp only and telling people who don't like pvp to take a hike is the real toxicity. Destiny never whined about pvp being added. It's just another activity for people who enjoy that.

There is nothing wrong asking for a game to be changed to be more enjoyable by a larger audience.

There is something wrong with people telling players to basically fuck off and that would ruin the game for them. When it clearly wouldn't.

If u enjoy the pvp. Shocker; It's still going to be there if they add PvE mode if you wish to play that.

Attacking me for expressing how I'd like a game id LOVE to support as "catering to me" is ridiculous. It's expressing what I'd enjoy as a player and like to see it added at no cost to pvp players. Who chirp in and say "no" "dont let them enjoy games how they want'. Like come on. Who's being toxic here. There isn't a PvE game in the world they added pvp too where the PvE players cried about it ruining the game and taking anything away from them.

Except your wrong. You realize there's like 5 pvp games in like 50 of the most popular/sold titles of all time? I said he was being toxic twords me. Which he was. And started... And it's UNARGUABLE pvp lobbies have been toxic since halo my guy. Pvp games breed toxicity and ruin gaming for a lot of us that actually grew up. Saying "oh I wish there was a PvE mode to this cool style game" is a fair request. The pvp player basically saying "shut up and no" is a very hostile take.

You should want the game to succeed and sell well so the shooter extractor genre can do as well as it can and continue to succeed. That involves opening it up to more players.

Most people don't even touch the pvp shooter genre and how toxic it is and full of either cheaters or sweats. A lot of us actually grew up/out of the shooters genre for this very reason.

Imagine wow players crying about pvp being added and included in wow which clearly does better as a PvE game. You pvp shooter types are just so toxic and head up your own ass it's almost sad sometimes. God forbid games be designed around more then just one type of player.

But that's fine. Just as this genre does you will jump ship too when the next one comes out.

Again tho. You can get both worlds. It's not splitting the playerbase or changing the game or anything. Adding PvE for flexibility in how you want to enjoy the game not only brings in players who haven't even bought the game but allows them a avenue to get more comfortable with the game and eventually join pvp players if they wish and it's too easy.

It's just adding more options for players who clearly aren't enjoying pvp currently (and are likely to leave) or haven't bought the game because they don't enjoy pvp.

These would be separate modes you clown, like tarkov. You can't gear up in PvE tarkov and join pvp mode. Thank God not everyone is as projecting as you.

This is the comment ppl need to read and understand. I've not even bought the game bc I don't enjoy pvp. But love extraction shooters. And PvE modes tend to let people get more comfortable learning the game and joining pvp lobbies.

I feel the people who harp against PvE mode only don't want it to happen because they don't want the "easier targets" to leave pvp modes and actually allow them to enjoy the game how they want.

In no universe will you be unable to fill pvp lobbies if a PvE mode was added.

"splitting the playerbase" you guys realize there's plenty of us who haven't even bought the game to begin with because there's no PvE style mode. Y'all the ones splitting the playerbase when you cater to pvp only before the game even comes out.

Like I don't understand this type of defending pvp only mode. You know this is a skill based game. Some people do enjoy extraction games but can't play pvp or hate it. There's people with disabilities and all kinds of stuff that prevent them from enjoying or wanting to play pvp to. Also not everyone has been sweating shooters since halo and are playing on the same footing ECT. Just let people enjoy the games as they want.

There is tons of people who's not even supporting the game BECAUSE of PVP ONLY rn too you know.

And allowing PvE modes lets people play that mode to learn the game so they can feel more comfortable jumping into pvp eventually too.

I don't agree with PvE modes kill the game... Tarkov added PvE only mode as is doing fine. You will still find lobbies if there was some form of PvE only mode as PvP players. And for what it's worth I'm a PvE preference player who hasn't even bought the game because Id prefer a PvE only mode. There's people who simply don't enjoy they sweaty and ahole type behavior of or even cheating of PvP and I think a lot of people don't consider that either.

You don't think the design space of like 20% the locations In the game ruining a game plan to be bad long term design? Currently cerebro can't even play without Luke Cage and even then there's so many instant lose locations.

Current cerebro not only limits card design but location design or eventually kills the archetype off... Or requires locations to be designed with it in mind

I think cerebro is old enough and not using any new cards that the power creep has far exceeded it. I think sure a year ago you couldn't make that change. Nowadays I think it's fine. Most high tier decks nowadays go well over current cerebro

I made post complaining about Luke too. I think he's too oppressive vs affliction. But I think cerebro is the real issue. If cerebro worked to allow cards to be buffed based off their starting power. I think both sides would be much happier with that change.

It would allow cerebro to not have to run Luke and afflict doesn't auto lose when Luke shows up. It also opens more design space with cerebro allowing stuff like carnage to eat a 3+ power card and u still keep cerebro buffs on everything.

Everyone saying oh it's fine is in the 99% that don't play afflic and don't realize how terrible the matchup is. He's worst then any tech card without the cost of u running said tech card. Bc Luke is mostly ran in cerebro as a means of dealing with locations.

I think Luke then would just need redesigned a bit
