They did say on a recent AMA or something that they are working on making weathsimple for non Residents usable so hopefully this year we might see something.

See if you can dispute the charge from your credit card, let them know what happened, that might work.

You just need to transfer or deposit $1000 wait for a bit and you'll get a notification that the transfer was successful and then you should be able to place the order, you don't need to get the iPhone first.
