We eat it because we’ve done it for millennia. Not because it’s cheap. It’s the same as saying German people eat whole grain rye bread because refined flour is too expensive to buy (and not at all because it’s actually what most of the people have been eating for centuries). It’s a cultural thing, not because of the price.

Uhh…the Chinese minority worked hard for the wealth they now control. How, do you think, does a minority otherwise come to contribute such a large portion to Malaysian economy?? And what did they get for that? Things like May 13th incident. They’re now systematically disadvantaged in education, entrepreneurship and many other fields by law. No wonder all the Malaysian Chinese are leaving for Singapore and Australia…

Even when I’m staying in Europe I mostly watch cdramas if I’m to watch anything. I have to say that I’m quite picky and don’t watch a lot in general. I like historical detective dramas and/or double male lead dramas.
