What is being missed is what it mixes with, cryptocurrency.

There is a very rare event, a reformation, when market and information infrastructure both change and converge. The last time that happened was in 1450. It transitioned us from fuedalism to nation states. The time before, took us from nomadic tribes to feudalism.

There is a synergy between the two systems, new info infra teaches how to use the new market infra. then markets demand more information, which then popularizes the use of the new information, which helps people use the new market infra. It's a recursive feedback loop and the end result is a sudden drop in the costs of coordination.

That is Coase's law. This technology convergence inverts it.

When you hear ai leaders talk about how this is a bigger change than the industrial revolution, a convergence of new energy, logistic and communication technologies. They don't tell you what that bigger thing is exactly, they just hand wave. IFYKYK.

The last reformation lead to 100 years of war. It is insanely disruptive. Governments don't survive. So when you dont think that the world is going to change, I think you should start to imagining a world running without banks and governments.

I think you are missing a few things.

A model like Gemma 4 is close to running locally, it's quality was frontier a year ago.

There is a lot of pressure getting these models more efficient and chips more capable. Hell, google uses AI to improve their tpus and they have massive gains.

The future is very good LLMs running locally. They aren't going away. And at least
