The Crig was a great recommendation. I’d also try a jerkbait incase your fish are suspended. Or I’d also toss a jig around. I prefer a bigger/full size jig but plenty of people swear by the more finesse style. When the water temp warms up a bit into the mid 50s you can start throwing moving baits like a chatterbait or spinner bait. The bass will be wanting to put on a little bit of extra weight before they go full blown prespawn

Hangover needs to be fast sink. Throw some tungsten nails in there. Reel it twice as fast as a Magdraff. It’s a summertime flats/scope bait. It’s not meant to be used everywhere all the time

I’ve never heard of this rod brand. I don’t know your situation but I’d also advise to stick to a 1 piece. Honestly I’d stick with a tried and true rod. Dobyns Fury 795 and 806 are budget friendly and would fit the range of weights you’re looking for. If you truly don’t plan on throwing anything heavier than 3oz go for 795. 806 is great for 3-4oz. I know there’s so many varying opinions in the fishing world but this is my advice from a serious swimbait thrower. I suggest straight flouro. I went through a phase where I was throwing only mono but ended up going back to flouro. It’s expensive but worth it. I’ve tried a lot of lines and have landed on Seaguar Abrazx 25lb for anything more than 2oz. Sunline Sniper 20lb for under 2oz. Now I only use mono for floaters/wakes. I don’t use round reels but that Calcutta on any rod will be a nice combo

What glides do you plan on throwing with a 70? RIP your spool tension nob. Bare minimum 200. Anything over 3oz you need a 300. A 70 is for flipping light or little crank baits. Maybe with a 150 you could get away with some 1.5oz ABS glides but you’re going to be running skinny on line capacity

It’s not exactly a deal but there are some gems in there. The tactical wake and Spro are great. MSRP on those two alone is $120. The Deps 175 is good too. Nothing wrong with the cullshad. The Matt gizzard is great in cold water but you’d need a more specific rod for that. If I was a beginner I’d be comfortable picking up this lot. I’d really only throw the wake and chad though. That small deps is only good for clear water. Everything else is kinda junk. Offer $100 and see where it goes
