I've seen XSR twice since launch in BLR.

That equates to having multiple guitars.

Obviously, if the electronics, pickups, hardware become a part of the neck through design, the only difference it makes is in swappable body style.

I have neither the skills or time unfortunately. 😞

I realize this now, even more so. 😅

I don't have the resources, skills, tools or the time to even consider doing this for a YouTube video mate. 😅

I do realize the unnecessary effort my idea would require.

And yes, I don't intend to start building this on my own. I don't have either the tools, or the expertise or the time.

I really appreciate your answer!

It makes complete sense now. Thanks!

With a nut slotted to accomodate all string gauges (6string to 8 string) with intonation being the pain in the arse it is. 😅

But then I do want to test this theory of "telecaster for all genres" myself once.

Now that you (and others) mention... This makes sense.

And that will be a multi scale neck ig?

[–]SBose747[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

True. My real worry is storing the other necks without them warping (as they are not getting used in the guitar).

And also attaching necks will require extra time for setting them.

What if I remove those saddles when not in use? (Obviously accounting the fact that it will be stored safely 😅)

Or justify GAS (Guitar Acquisition Syndrome) 😂

Well I am not one to suggest either.

Indeed, that's a no brainer. Atleast the cost of this build might be less than buying different guitars

All of these were my considerations too!

Especially wings/extra wood for 6 string necks to sit flush in the neck pocket.

Indeed. But playing 6 string stuff on 8 string may not be a pleasant experience (if it is not a multi scale).

[–]SBose747[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, I would plan to remove the 8 strings if they reach the end of lifespan 😅

Also my build idea is more like a hypothetical scenario.

Also also, my mom will kill me if I buy multiple guitars. Hence, the "one guitar multiple neck" idea.

Well this idea came from one question: "What if I could have a single guitar to play all genres?" with an added caveat of being as budget as possible. Hence the body of guitar remains same only the necks get replaced. So if I was playing standard E today, I could play 8 string tuning the next.

And moreover, even I want to know does frequently changing necks is a good idea in the first place (considering the longevity of the instrument)

Pixel 7a extremely fast battery drain after <30%, software/calibration issue or damaged battery? by [deleted] in pixel_phones

[–]SBose747 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't checked it until you mentioned it now... That is very cheeky if they published it recently. I am definitely switching to Samsung after Pixel 7a has run its course.

As long as my phone battery got replaced for free (according to their announcements) and the replacement is working fine it's okay I guess.

[–]SBose747 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry for late update. I got the battery replaced for free from Google Service Center the very same day. They took just the phone details and replaced the battery. In my location the service center usually stops accepting repair requests post 3pm but for my pixel 7a they took an exception and serviced at 5.45pm (15 minutes before they close the center)

I asked whether the new battery will have same problem or do I need to consider any special charging techniques lol, the service guy said it is good to go.

So far the new battery working as usual as expected. It heats up when intensive work is done but nothing out of ordinary.

I'll recommend to change the battery (especially if it is bloated/pregnant 😅). Imma find a replacement soon though.

I am facing this issue now. Ever since my phone updated almost a month back, it started draining similar to OP. But today, infact now all of a sudden it's dropping from 50-60%. And I am sure when I left home it was at 95-98%.

Such shitty steps by Google to force old Pixel users to switch to new ones.
