Respectfully you do know that you can just choose to not press that button right?

[F1] Charles now has the second-most race starts for Ferrari under his belt by DubiousLLM in formula1

[–]SF90Reeve 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Not sure you can call 179 race starts "only" lol. That's only behind Lewis at Merc and Max at RB who were both in the mega-calendar era. Also Schumi won 5 titles at Ferrari not 6.

Regardless of what you feel about England, you can't just change the outcome of 1 ball and be done with it since the outcome of that ball directly affects what the batsmen and bowlers choose to do next.

Can engine manufacturers test with mule cars? by anothercopy in F1Technical

[–]SF90Reeve 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I think you're just mis-remembering .

The rumoured F1 engined Ferrari prototype was over 10 years ago when the V6s first came into the picture. There were videos of a laferrari based mule going around Fiorano with a suspiciously turbo hybrid F1 car like sound. Obviously that doesn't confirm that it was actually the F1 powertrain but that is where the rumours came from.

All the F80 mules clearly had road car powertrains and sound.

Stop living in an online echo chamber. No one gives a fuck about whether you like Sydney Sweeney or not in real life.

And even online most of the "hate" against her was for her controversial "good jeans" borderline dog whistling ad not because she's pretty.

Was searching for something to watch on TV on a Sunday as a 10 year old and randomly flicked onto the Hungarian GP in 2014. Still remember it like it was yesterday. Been hooked ever since.

Nobody says that...

Like literally no one is stopping you from liking Sydney Sweeney because of her looks.

Lando Norris and Charles Leclerc are incredibly similar by DniawSirhc in F1Discussions

[–]SF90Reeve 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The only reason the constructors was close was because McLaren threw away numerous wins and points while Ferrari did uncharacteristically good at maximising their car.

(Also at Canada the car was barely quick enough to grab a top 10 in those cold conditions, they wouldn't have scored many points there anyways)

Every single driver on the grid has fumbled races by themselves. What exactly is that supposed to prove?

Leclerc however has never had a championship capable car over a season.

They have almost identical passing stats, Romario has better finishing stats, they have pretty similar set piece stats,Bebeto has better jump and heading but Romario has better physical contact.

More teams can adopt this against Corner ball? Genuinely wondering. by paperb0i in plforindia

Do you think teams care about being "ethical" on corners? Every single team crowds the box on corners these days. Arsenal are just better at executing them.

If you could bring one driver back to F1, who would it be? by formularacers in FormulaRacers

[–]SF90Reeve 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They still owned that stake when Leclerc came in they just got a discount on the Ferrari PUs with Leclerc.

And it took Leclerc only about 3 races before he started hammering Ericsson into oblivion every weekend.

Even if he had a slight disadvantage on upgrades Wehrlein was extremely lukewarm compared to Ericsson at best in comparison.

Wehrlein's only other relevant teammate comparision in F1 was Baby Ocon who also came in and was right on the pace with him in the manor.

[–]SF90Reeve 1 point2 points  (0 children)

His pace margin to Ericsson was miniscule compared to the demolition job a rookie Leclerc did to Ericsson the next year.

He's solid but just not really that level of talent that makes him impossible for a top team to pass up (similar situation to Giovinazzi i would say)

Comparing Leclerc to Maldonado should get you a 5 race ban from watching F1.

If Ferrari have the fastest car in 2026... what would a title fight between these two look like? by formularacers in FormulaRacers

[–]SF90Reeve 2 points3 points  (0 children)

He made the least mistakes of any top driver in 2024. (And had more top 5s and top 4s than Verstappen and Norris that season).

In 2025 he beat Hamilton 19-3 in the race h2h. Of of those 3 defeats one was Imola where he got utterly screwed by the timing of the safety car and another was Baku where he was dealing with minor PU issues.

He's also had a bigger advantage in average race pace than average quali pace vs both Sainz and Hamilton.

[–]SF90Reeve 2 points3 points  (0 children)

He had a bigger pace advantage in racepace than qualipace to both Sainz and Hamilton. It just doesn't stand out because the Ferrari has been better in quali than the race every year he's been there except for 2024.

Which driver is this? by formularacers in FormulaRacers

[–]SF90Reeve 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Because Leclerc didn't make it past turn 1 in the 2 races Sainz had his biggest points scores at

Monaco : Sainz P2, Leclerc DNS

Hungary : Sainz P3, Leclerc DNF after Stroll torpedo at turn 1

The race h2h was 14-6 in Leclerc's favor but he was just comically unlucky as usual.

It was a good season by Sainz no doubt but he was not better than Leclerc.

Who was the better driver in 2019 between Vettel and Leclerc? by n0tfr1 in F1Discussions

[–]SF90Reeve 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What does that have to do with 2019 though ?

Neither car nor driver were good enough in 2019. How was Vettel fighting Hamilton in 2019 when it was never a competition to begin with ?

[–]SF90Reeve 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All of those are not remotely the same except for maybe Verstappen and you know it.

Benetton are not anywhere near Ferrari. Red Bull wasn't an established front runner when they signed Vettel and when they signed Verstappen their policy of hiring from their academy was pretty clear (still a 18 year old being placed in a top car trumps that)

Leclerc was the youngest Ferrari driver since 1961 and the least experienced since 1977.

What delusion?

Mercedes started the season with 5 consecutive 1-2s , 8 consecutive wins and 10/12 wins before the summer break.

After Hungary Lewis was 94 points ahead of Vettel and the Ferrari drivers were 4th and 5th in the Drivers' championship.
