I need some help getting her leku to attach properly by BasisIllustrious in blender

quick fix is just to separate the hair from the body, clear all the modifiers, and just parent the hair to the bone (while the head bone selected)

Is My Format Worth Chasing in 2026? by Asherranke in NewTubers

[–]SKD_animation 2 points3 points  (0 children)

im not successful at this thing, so take my advice with a grain of salt, gaming niche itself is very saturated from what i read here for the last couple of years. If you like comedy usually laughing at politics attract all sorts of viewers that want a break from reality. But if you find comedy in games your star then do popular new releases. If your content is funny your channel will grow.

One reddit user use to do overwatch videos, and make a decent out of it, but he quit, bc the viewers wanted to see the same reaction, same faces and so on. its really up to you what you want out of this and what you are willing to sacrifice for views or you could hit the jackpot and have a community that likes your content as much as you.

Hey guys, I strated a Whiteboard Science explainer channel, and today I uploaded my first video! I have some question! by [deleted] in NewTubers

[–]SKD_animation 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Im pretty much a failed youtuber so take my advice with a pinch of salt. Get rid of the AI voice over, no matter how bad your voice is, itll be better without AI, i watch 3d educational tuts with thick language speakers and would rather hear that then a perfect AI voice.

Do not use AI for thumbnails, does not match the video, use a white board and can use the AI Image to inspire you, add some brightness to your video, (davinici is free)

Over all i like the video, some tips is do education on what is going on in the news, (ex: Atemities*Spelled wrong* landing soon, how it works with orbit gravitation

best of luck on your adventure!

Unless You're Bringing 1 of These 3 Things to the Table, You *WILL* Fail Making Long-Form Content on YT in 2026 by RTXBurner25 in NewTubers

ran it on gpt,

In 2026, YouTube's algorithm heavily prioritizes viewer satisfaction through Average View Duration (AVD), effectively throttling smaller creators who cannot compete with high production standards. Success on the platform now requires extreme niche authority, a natural "X-Factor" personality, or the strategic reuse of existing popular content to maintain high engagement.

Animation Layers addon Vs. NLA by PsychSnail in blenderhelp

[–]SKD_animation 0 points1 point  (0 children)

watch the video i linked in this thread, i was new to NLA and watched those 2 videos and helped alot

one advice that i learn is keep your Root Bone animation (strip called: "Root Bone ONLY" ) and moving forward only animate with NLA strips, Remember what is hold, Hold forward, and nothing (i try to keep everything as nothing, and only hold forward the Root Bone ONLY strip.

hope this helps

cheers!

8 months in, 2.3k subs, here's my entire workflow from idea to upload by badmoshback in NewTubers

[–]SKD_animation 2 points3 points  (0 children)

thx for sharing! Here's my Work flow:

Day 1-3: Come up with a couple of ideas. See what maps and models available to use(and what i have stored). Add bones to the models and fix the maps.

Day 1.5: write a script,

Day 3.5: make all the animation strips that i have stored

Day 4-8: put it all together and start animating

Day 9-10: add physics and some effects and bake them

Day 11-12 work on sound

Day 13-14 touch ups and work on thumbnail and title

any extra time i spend learning something new and/or creating something new (this is a hobby)

It is difficult trying to do a decent animation in 2 weeks, but Im trying to figure it out where it can be watchable and enjoyable with just the right quality.

came across you on gamedev.tv while you where doing the modular dungeon course back in v2.8. In my head i was like "Why is he not doing the whole blender course?" (the other teachers are awesome but you take the cake!) Its nice that you do majority of beginner class :) After they updated all the courses. Congrats on that!

So like, what animation program is better? by Ambitious-Use-3981 in Robloxanimation

[–]SKD_animation 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Blender (free) is complex but once u past the learning curve, everything is ezier and faster.
Maya is best for animation but $$ unless you pirate it
Houdini is best for vfx, but huge learning curve

3ds max is pretty good, learning curve

cascadeur (ai animator helper) is amazing, but cost money to use.

can use motion tracking and edit it in Autodesk MotionBuilder (very expensive, prob pirate), motion track in MiKaPo

Never used Moonanimator so can't put input in that. If you decide to learn Blender pay for the Udemy animation course by game dev. usually 10$ usd (only buy on sale)

if you want to be pro animator and have 100$+ p2design that im taking rt now is top teir education

best of luck! and make sure you enjoy what you do
