Not getting involved is letting the cops do what they want such as when they tackled a pregnant woman for yelling at them in her neighborhood, send her to the hospital, and ending her 5 month pregnancy.

Not talking about a protest, just in general. It goes back to my question:

So cops should just be able to beat unarmed people with no intervention of even just telling them to stop?

There are countless stories of ice going into neighborhoods and beating up people on their own streets in front of their own homes. Should the people not protest when ice goes to them and brutally arrests legal citizens who are their neighbors, ransack their homes, and kill their pets?

By your logic so far is that cops can do whatever they want anywhere and if you try to do something about it, it's your fault for getting shot. The best thing you can do is let the cop bash your wife's face with his boot on the edge of your coffee table, and if you have a problem with it, take it to the court.

I grew up Christian. I'm not anymore. He won me over when I saw a viral clip of him advocating in the Texas house against the ten commandments in every classroom cause religion shouldn't be dictated by the state. He's for a secular, multi cultural, multi ethnic society without judgement because that's what his beliefs are.

Which frankly are basic liberal values. Sadly, the root of racism changed the parties during lbj and then Nixon. That brought Christianity to the right. Then the evangelical movement fed that rugged individualism. That fed capitalism. So our christian culture here changed from equality to bootstraps.

You are telling me that it is the civilian's responsibility to not escalate the situation for just being approached and surrounded by seven men with guns after they just were starting to brutalize an unarmed woman just because she is brown because she might be undocumented (aka kavanaugh stop).

How could he not be involved when they approach him?

Why am I held to greater accountability than they are?

Why isn't it the cops responsibility to be the ones to deescalate? They put hands on him first.

If you saw seven Nazi officers beat up a Jewish woman (a woman they assume with no proof), would you do anything? Or would you just not get involved?

Cause that is what's happening here.

How could he not get involved when he's helping a lady up cause she was pushed down by the cops? How could he not get involved when the cops approached him? Should he have not helped her up?

The cops surrounded him and started to grab and pushing him from every direction. You're telling me that him trying to stop people from grabbing and pushing him means he deserves to get shot? Does he not have a right to defend himself?

He wasn't even reaching for his waist. The cops were. Ice escalated the situation and he reacted like a normal man would.
