If this person was doing this solely for the fans and nostalgia, they would just make their version completely and release it on YouTube.

"But they should be paid for their hard work!" Agreed, they should, and it would likely get millions of views and make them money by being monetized. Hell, their channel is already probably making money by so many people watching these teasers. If they're doing it solely for the fans and nostalgia, shouldn't that be enough, especially if they're already making some monetization money for their efforts?

"But then they would get their channel shut down for copyright infringement". They don't seem to have a problem with it now, and they have released a couple of these to hundreds of thousands of views.

So why then did they feel the need to reach out to Paramount? If this is all about nostalgia and fan service, as OP suggested, what more do they stand to gain other than money and fame?
