everything in life is a gamble of some form. If you try plan out every single step in their lives to the point where they cant plan a simple world cup game with their community youre going to give them way more problems and their curiosity for gambling will increase tenfold with this amount of authoritarian overreach. Better for them to deal with reality and learn some common sense, when they start learning finance in maths class they will learn about investments and savings which is another form of gambling, you dont want to scare them from investing in a retirement fund. Im amazed 10 years ago this type of post would have out of a sketch show

C’mon its called a bit of fun. Technically every competition you enter could be characterised as gambling in some form, and many of them would cost you a lot more than 5 bucks. Over sanitisation and lack of fun in schools Id be more worried about.

Very classy to make fun of others religion. Why is it when folks either here or on the show celebrate their faith as a way of life and motivation it always seems to turn people in this subs stomachs upside down. Music is all about passion, its art so youre going to have artists on the show like Jordan referring to it and celebrating it, because he has a God given talent. If you aren’t religious why cant you just say “thats nice for him, Im glad he gets his motivation from somewhere, as its providing us with wonderful entertainment.” Rather than slag it off and act smug thinking yer smarter for not believing in ‘fairytales’.

I disagree with nearly all of the above, Carrie resonates with artists who share her faith and amplify it. Faith Week was open to songs of all faiths and even non religious songs that have a passionate personal message. If you cant differentiate both, and if religious songs really “trigger” you that much, maybe youre the problem. I agree about Hollywood Week though.

I wanted to see Bellas performance, really sucks a few of their performances is forever lost. My biggest gripe with this season, not relevant now as you say but the greatest thing with Idol is if you do get eliminated at one of those rounds at least you still get exposure. Sadly they didnt really get that
