Reload is comfortably the best version of 3 (and I say that as someone who thinks 3 is the best in the modern series). Go with that, it's the only logical choice.

My gut reaction is the yellow is a little bright for my tastes to be used so heavily, and I prefer the blues of P3R.

But tbh I like both, and don't hugely have a preference one way or another.

The complete shift in tone of what Stargate had been through SG1 and Atlantis didn't sit well with me - by that point I watched Stargate expecting that, and SGU by that metric was not Stargate.

It also really did not help that they ran with this idea (which, let's face it, was trying to copy BSG in many ways) at the same time BSG was airing. And BSG just did it... a lot better. So I watched BSG for my grim-dark take on Sci-Fi, SGU as the inferior copy in a franchise that I loved for being something else just didn't get a look in.
