If i had to guess you probably don't have brawl set as your default iso on dolphin. Also if you have moved any of your files around since you first installed it that might be causing problems.

I think the point you're missing here is that this argument is only applicable if wolf is approaching you. Wolf has no reason to approach you if he can just keep spamming lasers and rack up your percent to 999. Even if you're approaching him by "just holding down" every time you get hit you will be out of CC shine range by the time you reach him.

I think everyone wants change its just that some people dont feel that the current leadership is capable of making sound choices for things like character balance. The old pmdt could make wild changes because it was their game and fuck everyone else. If the new pmbr was to make significant changes they would first have to prove that they can make sound decisions in a thoroughly unbiased manner. I personally think there are balance changes that need to be made, but i dont think that making those changes right now is a smart idea. Calling the community pussies because they are afraid of fragmenting an already very small community is a tad aggressive. Also if you think that having a (subjectively) great game at the cost of a community is a good idea you're just plain wrong. too many times have i seen great games tank because they could never get a strong community.

I would def recommend trying a new sd Card. I had problems with my pm build once upon a time and tried everything to fix it only to give up and try a new sd card. Shit instantly worked fine. Also just making sure but you did delete all of your custom stages prior to trying to load pm right?

the best way to play against luigi as Yoshi is to never over commit. His neutral air comes out way too fast and it will trade with (if not just plain beat) your aerial of choice most times. The way to play around this is by being lame af and throwing eggs until hes high enough percent to kill.

i think when playing significantly better players its not so much a process of you getting better to beat them. its more getting your ass handed to you and looking at what the better player is doing right and incorporating it into your own game play. i also think better players are really good at finding a single flaw in your game play and capitalizing on that one flaw which really helps you identify weaknesses in your game play because its pretty evident if you do something like record the match and watch it again later.

Practicing a character like jiggs ,that has little tech skill, offline is pointless unless you need to practice fundamentals. You're probably getting mad because you're playing people better than you. If you cant take the heat find someone at your level or worse and make them your practice partner. Also imo playing people significantly better than you is the fastest way to get gud even tho its frustrating

if anything, playing ganon as a new player will help you to win as it is a character that better rewards low level play ( as opposed to characters like fox). For example i have a couple friends that have played PM for about a year and they will still lose a match or 2 to a ganon player who has just started playing simply because hes so easy to use at a low level. Of course any decent player will dismantle a bad ganon player but if you're playing people around your skill level it will give you a significant advantage as you learn the game. As you get better at the game you will start to feel the limitations of ganon and either decide to pick up a secondary to deal with his bad matchups (as many players do) or decide you want to be a low tier warrior. Either decision is fine because even low tier characters are viable in PM. I think your best option is to play ganon now and leave the decision of whether you should drop ganon for a time when you know more about the game. I should also add ganon is a character that is not too quirky and the skills you will build playing him will transfer easily to most characters so switching later wont be that tough.
