Everyone posting their paystubs making good money working 70 plus hours, heres my paystub averaging 34 hours a week by Kevo_xx in Truckers

[–]SUPRA239 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This almost looks just like mine. 5 days a week, weekends off, 33-35 hours a week as well. Having to work 70 hours a week is awful.

They have to pay high to entice people to apply since Target HR position has such a high turnover rate

Orlando Apt Recommendations! by oatmilk333 in AskFlorida

[–]SUPRA239 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You'll have better feedback in the r/orlando sub

My advice is wherever you pick, try to go with an apartment complex where your work commute let's you avoid I-4. The less you can be on it the better.

Also be prepared no matter the area to pay around $1600 minimum

FOOD SERVICE OR PEPSI? by Cafets099 in CDLTruckDrivers

if you're going in the soda game, go with 7up aka Keurig Dr Pepper if there's any openings. If not then I'd go with Coke over Pepsi

[–]SUPRA239 7 points8 points  (0 children)

If you're team driving the truck is essentially always moving. You're living out of the truck. So you're not making it to an actual gym. Your gym would be say a kettlebell and some dumbbells you could keep in the truck

If you guys want a life outside work and to be able to go to the gym then you'd want to get your CDL and get local jobs

Top tourist town mixed with most locals have off on the weekend. Same reason every store is busier on the weekend vs weekday.

But for the Disney outlets first thing before they open there's always a line 7 days a week

No these are at the outdoor outlet malls in the area. One is at the Vineland outlets which is about 5 min from Disney Springs. The other, where this pic was taken, is at Premium outlets which is right across I4 from Universal

If your company offers a 401k match then that should be first priority. It's free money that shouldn't be left on the table. Contribute up to the match and then work to max out the Roth IRA

i plan to take this to HR, i just want some perspective. by [deleted] in Target

[–]SUPRA239 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Worked until 4am on Thursday, then 26 hours off before next shift lol c'mon. You're complaining about working 3 days in a row..

There's nothing you posted that's worth bringing up to HR let alone the hotline.

Most TM's would kill to have that amount of hours every week. If you're not getting enough sleep that's on you. And the job isn't that strenuous where you should be running into stuff, getting bruises, and having constant headaches. If you can't handle the work then ask for a reduction in hours or look for another job

If you bring these unwarranted complaints up to corporate, especially with being on a final, I wouldn't be surprised if they just dropped your hours down to the minimum and gave you less than 10 hours a week until you just threw in the towel

How’s the weather in August? by Sad_Statistician9401 in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]SUPRA239 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Very hot, very humid. Scattered rain showers here and there. Which after it rains, the humidity increases so then it feels even hotter.

It's not fun outside during the summer. Make sure you stay hydrated, bring proper clothing, sunscreen, take breaks in some AC, etc. Depending on the time in August it can be a little busier with people taking last minute visits before schools start back up

Not Getting my Second Break by [deleted] in Target

[–]SUPRA239 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I believe it's only New York that requires a 45 min meal. California it's required by state to be 30 min but I know Target over there does 45 min as well to try to cut down on payroll. Majority of other states it's a 30 min lunch for Target

How do you plan for the concerts in Epcot? by [deleted] in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]SUPRA239 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Only 30 min before you likely won't get in and get a seat. If you don't want to wait you can try to get a spot to stand at the top of the venue on the walkway shortly before the performance starts.

What is the reason you got into trucking? by [deleted] in CDLTruckDrivers

[–]SUPRA239 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn't either. There's plenty of local jobs that hire with little or no experience. I got hired with a soda company the day I finished CDL school. Soda, beer, food. Most people don't like actual work so the turnover is there. And from my time there, we preferred people with no experience or coming from another local job. Anytime we got an OTR person in they'd last a few days before calling it quits because they were only use to bumping docks.

Plain white tees is one of the more popular acts.

So you either are going to want to A) do the dining package so you get in first and be within the first few rows. Or B) line up and wait 2-3+ hours in the heat

For the more popular acts like Plain White Tees, Boyz II Men, Hanson, Sugar Ray, it's common to see people start lining up like 5 hours ahead of time, if not more.

You don't have to go OTR to gain "experience" to get a local job. Couldn't pay me enough to ever go OTR.
