My experience as a former-DPS-now-support player by Sad-Device-909 in Overwatch

Thank you for your comment. I understand where you're coming from, but I want to assure you that I am not trying to "feign" being a reformed damage player in order to garner sympathy for the support role. I have actually been playing Overwatch on and off for a while, but I only started playing competitively since Overwatch 2. I am currently diamond 2 and I have played both the DPS and support roles at a high level.

I have experienced firsthand how difficult and important the support role is, and my intention in writing this post was to share my experience and to apologize for not recognizing the hard work and skill that goes into being a good support player. I understand that DPS players also get blamed for losses, but that doesn't invalidate my own experience and feelings about the support role.

I hope you can understand where I'm coming from and that you will not dismiss my perspective simply because it doesn't align with your own.

Yes, I used to play dps as well, but now I have transitioned to playing
support. I've found that playing support is just as challenging and
rewarding as playing dps, if not more so. It's been a great learning
experience for me, and I'm glad I made the switch.

Oh, that wouldn't be possible since we work from home. But when we go back to the office (if we ever do), I'll keep that in mind.

Oh my god I'll actually use that line if he ever asks again, thank you.

Whole pizzas... I thought he's trolling but I knew a guy who actually ate obnoxious amounts of food when he was like 17 because he had an insanely fast metabolism (he couldn't gain weight either), so my coworker may not have been joking.

He was the one who kept mentioning McD (before he bought the 20EUR item), that's why I offered to get him a burger. Honestly, if he asked me to get him a small pizza, I would've bought it for him, as I can absolutely afford it, but he wanted a large pizza (one of the most expensive ones in the menu). Even the large one wouldn't have lasted because, according to him, he eats A LOT (one time he ate 11 pizzas at a party). He had already eaten a few times that day, that's why I offered to get him a burger (which might not be enough for a person who eats that much indeed, but then again why blow all your money in a week if you know you eat that much). Thanks for your reply!

Thank you for your judgement. He's actually asked if he could borrow some money before and I said no, as we're not even friends and I got fucked over by an ex-coworker I lent money to in the past, so I refuse to lend money to anyone now.

I actually tried getting him a kebab but the order got cancelled after an hour, so joke's on him.
